Self-Defense - Wednesday evening, Gym

Mats have been laid out in half of the gym. Alanna is sitting on a table off to the side, next to a sign in sheet and a tin of cookies shaped like Christmas Trees. Suprsingly, she is wearing only a t-shirt and jeans, but that might be because someone has turned the heat up to the maximum and the room feels like a furnace. Alanna's grinning happily.

"Sign in, partner up, grab a cookie. Today, we're going to be practicing what to do if someone sneaks up on you."

"I don't know if Phoebe's going to make it," Bel said. "She has a lot of studying to do for her finals. But hopefully other people will show up." He grinned. "Unless you think I'm scaring them away."

Shep signs in and looks for a prop knife. "I'll attack her, as long as she promises to pull her punches." His wrist feels mostly okay now that it's been through a week of P.T. and is still protected by the brace. He can walk through the moves with someone, but there's no way he's going to be sparring or doing any free-form fighting.

Shep leans in and whispers, "Fine see if I ever attack you again; trading me in already?" But his grin is pure evil and he clearly just wants to see Lana blush and stutter.

To the rest of the room he says, rather loudly, "Fine. I'll be in reserve if we end up with an odd number of people or something."

He grabs a cookie and takes a seat in the stands.

Lana blushes furiously, but manages to lean in and whisper back, "You? Can attack me anytime you want and I won't put up a fight."

For the benefit of the others she gives him a little shove and calls him a brat, grinning all the while.
