West Attic: After Self-Defense Class

Lana and Shep headed back to her room after Self-Defense. At some point along the way she'd slipped her hand into his. When they got up the final flight of stairs she smiled at him. "This is me. Hey, you haven't actually been up here before, have you?"

Nope. I tend to leave the attics to the bats.

She tilts her head and gives him a look. "Hey, I'll have you know that my room not only has no bats, but is really nice. Great view, lots of light..."

... lots of roommates... *raises an eyebrow*

"*One* roommate. With her own room. There are three private bedrooms and one common room in the suite. So, actually, for all intents and purposes.... *NO* roommates." She grins up at him.

Ah. ...note to self.

And Han...

*Shep smiles.* I should let you get some sleep.

She flushes.

"Yeah, probably. I have this feeling that tomorrow is going to be a very, um... interesting... day."

Something like that. And we have to go to classes too. *he smiles*

See you at the Perk when I'm out of Shop?

"Yeah, luckily I just have Bio."

She smiles up at him, "Of course. I'll be there."

Shep looks down the hall one way and then the other. There's no one up there, but there's a plant that may or may not be Faith.

He decides to take a chance.

He slides one arm around Lana's waist and pulls her in close. He kisses her briefly. "Good night."

She giggles up at him. "Come on. Is that the best you can do?"

What? You can do better?

She looks up at him innocently. "I think I did earlier."

*looks around, as if he's trying to remember something.*

I don't remember. Guess you'll have to remind me.

"You are such a brat," Lana says. She bites her lip again, then goes up on her toes to kiss him.

Using his good hand again, he tugs Lana in close while they kiss. He would have gone for the dramatic dip thing, but with the busted hand he was as likely to drop her as not.

When they finally separate he kisses her forehead for good measure.

"G'Night."

She stretches up to touch his cheek, then kiss it. "Good night." She watches him as he heads down the stairs, then goes into her room, hugging the moment to herself.
