Bel rolls his eyes at his "gift" and wonders again why he let himself be browbeaten into this stupid thing.

"Hey, Kiki, you can just cancel any future deliveries."

Kiki stares at it, dismayed. "Oh dear," she says worriedly. She is genuinely upset. "Oh... Belthazor, would you like me to talk to your Secret Santa? Are you sure it's just not a joke?"



[Ooc: This is, really, my fault. When I set up the pairings, I had NO IDEA that Bel and Bel's SS had had some seriously bad run-ins in the past (hence, no way Kiki could have known it either). I didn't get the vibe, though, that Bel's SS's mun had a problem with it - actually seemed amused, so I didn't offer to shuffle assignments around. Thoughts?]

Bel shrugged. "Odds are I'm paired with someone who doesn't like me. Don't force them to give me anything then. What's the point?"

"But," Kiki says, crestfallen, "But that's the point of the whole game. And...if someone gives me something to deliver, I have to see it through, it's my responsibility!"


[ooc: Ok, I just didn't want this erupting into a big issue. I only just yesterday got clued into the fact that there are some big ooc/ic issue-demons running around, and I didn't want this to slop another load of angst on the pile. It is, after all, supposed to be holiday fun, and it WAS in the rules that nasty gifts would not be seen in a favorable light. It's just deciding where the line is that's a problem, I'm learning.]

"Give the person someone else then," Bel said with another shrug. "Give them my person and I'll just stay out of it. More fun for them."

He made a mental note to make a last minute addition to his temper log.

Remembering he was supposed to be controlling his temper for Ethics class this week, Bel scowled (just a little) and said, "All right. Just make sure they don't send anything that's going to upset my girlfriend. That? Will piss me off."

"Right," Kiki nods. She then recalls how out-of-the-loop she tends to be on the most recent scuttlebutt. "Um... And your girlfriend is...?"
