Friday evening - room 405 - after Michael and Anakin leave

Checking around them, looking so innocuous they should have been whistling, Parker, Broots, Rory, Janet, and Zero walked down the hall to Room 405.

"Do we have a key?" asked Janet, very quietly.

Parker turned the knob and swung it open, "Don't need it," she said, keeping her voice equally low. "Broots,Zero, Fraiser, in. Rory? Still want to be look-out? Last chance to leave."

Rory grinned. "I'm good." She glanced at Anakin's side of the room. "Don't touch Anakin's things if you can help it. I promised we wouldn't."

With that, she took up a post by the doorway, cell phone in hand should they need it.

"Can't believe he let us do this," Parker said, shooting Rory a look on her way in. "Anything Echolls should worry about?"

Rory's brow creased. "No. Anakin's just a friend."

Parker smirked. "Good friend." Then her smile gentled a little. "And thanks for asking him to help."

"Of course," Rory smiled. "He was happy to. Quite pissed on your behalf, actually."

"Miss Parker?" Broots, nervous, what a surprise.

"Yes?" Parker snapped, then forced herself to calm as she scanned the room. "What?"

Broots blinked. "You called me."

"Right," Parker muttered, then pointed to the computer on Michael's side of the room. "See that? Pillage it."

"Wha..?"

"Ravage, steal, take, find anything on there that's out of the ordinary, make a copy, and get out. Can I be any more clear?" Parker asked through gritted teeth.

Janet slipped on a pair of surgical gloves and offered a second pair to Parker.

"Thanks," Parker muttered. "I'm a little distracted." She scanned Michael's side of the room; bed, dresser, desk, closet, shelves. "I'll take the bed."

"I've got the dresser for now," said Janet. She moved over and started pulliing items out of the dresser, trying to keep them as neat as possible, while still searching thoroughly.

Parker stared at the bed a second, and then checked under it (nothing) under the covers (still nothing) --

-- then she flipped up the mattress, and slammed it against the wall.

"Damnit, damnit, damnit."

Nothing in the box spring either.

Janet paused and raised an eyebrow at Parker. "I'd be mad too if I were in your shoes," she said. "But weren't we trying to be unobtrusive?"

"Quiet, yes. Unobtrusive?" She lifted the box spring, and let it settle back down. "Fuck that."

She moved on to the bedside stand, opening the drawers, taking them out, and shaking everything onto the box spring.

*Zero, who brought her own gloves, opens the closet.*

...robes? Oh, wrong closet.

*She slams the closet door, kindly not mentioning any pinups of Professor Amidala that might be in there and goes to the other one*

Parker, this guy has no personality.

"What?" Parker looked up from the bookshelf, where she'd been scanning the top and starting to go through the books. "What are you talking about?"

It's all black. An' it's not even goth black, which might at least be interesting.

Janet frowned from where she was going through the desk drawer. "Even uniforms have more character than this."

Seriously, Parker, didn' you notice somethin' was squirrely about the guy from his wardrobe. Oh, did anyone check his underwear drawer?

Parker sat down on the floor, angry and depressed. "And if I'd spent any time here, maybe I would've noticed... Damnit. Damnit. God, did I get played."
