Second Floor Common Room [Tuesday Morning]

Wanting to escape his room and hide for a while, John grabs his books, notebooks, and graphs and takes up residence in the second floor common room. He's got more equations to work on for math, equations, reading, and research for Quantum Physics, a report on his interview with Duo to finish, and an interview with Tex to write up.

So, like all good students, he's currently using his books and notebooks as a footrest and is flipping through early morning cartoons.

"Putting it off and letting her run scenario's through her head isn't going to help either," Cameron points out. "Unless you're actually interested in a wild affair with armboy over there..."

John flips him off. "And in case you haven't noticed, she's not really speaking to me at the moment. Bringing this up again so soon after she found out will get me killed."

"Write her a note, send some flowers or chocolates. Something non-pushy?" Cameron shrugs. "I'm just..." He sighs. "Whatever, man."

"What'd she say to you?"

Cameron swallows, feeling uncomfortable as they're both his friends. "You should talk to her, I don't think I should be the one explaining this to you. Just..." He considers his words for a moment. "Imagine how you'd feel if you were in her place now?"

"I don't wanna talk to her right now," he mumbles.

"It's up to you," Cameron shrugs again and nearly has to bite his tongue as he already told him what he thought about that. "How are finals coming?"

"Finals suck," John grumbles. "Thank heck I'm almost done. How're yours?"

"I got criminal justice in an hour. I still need to try to make something workable of my interview with The Tick for criminology and please don't mention Psych and Archaeology." He groans.

"Sounds tangly," he says. "How's Vala?"

"Good," Cameron replies, but he doesn't sound too convinced.

"Trouble in paradise?"

"No, we're fine. We're good," Cameron says quickly. "It's just... She seems to have a knack of getting herself into trouble."

"Oh yeah? Bad trouble? Or just nuisance trouble?"

"Bad," Cameron says and stares at the television for a while to watch Roadrunner chase around the road. "Real bad. I'm worried, man, and she seems to think she's untouchable or something which just worries me even more."

"Dude, is she in danger?"

"Maybe. I don't know." Cameron says, clearly frustrated by all this. "She seems to think she's fine but..." He falters and rubs the back of his neck. "I hope she's right because I have no clue how to deal with these people otherwise."

"What people?"

Cameron frowns and plays with the hem of his shirt. "Have you seen Harkness lately?"

"Yeah, last night." John nods. "He's lost his memory and stuff."

"The same people that did that to him," he says. "Vala's gotten herself involved in this. I don't... How the hell can you stop people who can fucking time travel?"
