Room 234 - door's open, making phone calls

Parker wants drinks. It's her birthday. Cam's supposed to sing for her, and Jarod will be there with a prezzie soon, and maybe she can get Lorne to sing happy birthday.

She is calling everyone she knows, while knocking on the door between her and Rory's room, and checking down the hall for the Colorado crew and anyone else she knows.

Angela taps on the door, unsure if the plan to get Parker to Caritas has actually succeeded. "Parker? Rory? You guys in there?"

She's a tiny bit dressed up for an evening of television snark.

"Angela?" Parker turns around, dialling Jaye's number, and smiles. "Hey! Are you going somewhere? I was just going to call you, and ask if you wanted to go to Caritas. Drinks on me!"

"That's so weird," Angela says, a little too enthusastic. "Becaus I was thinking about Caritas too. Wanted to see if you and Rory wanted to go out, or anything."

"Let me call Jaye and find out if she still wants to sautee my liver." Parker knocked on the dividing door again. "Rory! C'mon, Gilmore! Drinks and karaoke! The Birthday Girl awaits!"

"It's your birthday?" Angela says innocently. "I mean, I knew January, but I didn't know it was ... you know. Now."

"Does Jaye want your liver over the Archie thing, or are there other reasons?"

"Archie thing. And I almost had him kissing me again last night, soooo." She growled. "It's not fair that the cute ones keep finding girlfriends. Where is the large dating pool for me to swim in?"

"I know. And all the newbies are freshman or sophomores," Angela says. "Some of the couples need to break up, or something."

"Not that I'm giving up Marty," she adds quickly.

"Not that I want him," Parker said dryly. "Or vice versa. No offense. Then again, he could date someone, who'd free up some other guy for me, who would probably, through a bizarre chain of events, lead to you finding another guy who's even *more* perfect for you." She grins. "Is this at all convincing?"

"The part about you not wanting Marty or vice versa is. Mostly," Angela says. "But yeah, we'd have to do bizarre dating roulette to get all of this to make sense if the couples we have now broke up."

"Hey! There you are." Parker waved the phone at her. "I just left a message for Zero, and Jaye's meeting us there. Satisfied?" She slipped on her new shoes from Callisto, and zipped up the Versace. "And Cam's going to sing, he promised!"

"Cam Mitchell?" Angela asks. "He has this whole second floor pride thing going on. It's freaky. So I'm glad he's going to sing."

She thought for a moment, and said, "Want to see the cutest thing ever, by the way?"

Rory dashed back into her room, and returned with something small and fluffy. "There you are, I just left you a message." Parker hangs up her phone, and puts on her mom's earrings. "Birthday bash! Booze and fun! I'm buying!"

Laughing, Parker opened the door as she dialled Zero's number. "C'mon in, we're going to Caritas. Want to come with? I'm buying."

"You already answered that question when you said 'I'm buying'." He pulled a gift from behind his back and offered it to her. If Parker was to unwrap it, she would find the Season 1 boxset of The Masquerader.

"I'm ripping into this now," she told him, grinning. "Let the goodie-giving begin!"

She tore into it, then chortled. "Masquerader! Awesome! Thank you! More to feed my TV addiction." She gave Kawalsky a quick kiss on the cheek, smiling hugely.

"TV addiction is good. Well, for some shows. The first season of The Masquerader is great. I got really confused towards the end of the show, though."
