First Floor Lobby - Thursday night

Hawkeye had settled in well over the past few days. He had his affairs in order (both in the business and physical sense) and was now a full-time resident of Fandom. The boredom was beginning to set in though. He had ideas, but they would have to wait until he found someone to rope into being his lackey. For now, he was content to sit in the first floor lobby with a copy of the Crabapple Cove Courier on his lap and a notepad and pen ready to write a letter to his Dad.

Unfortunately though, he had nothing interesting to say yet.

[OOC: Open for interaction. Feel free to come and meet your new Vice Principal.]

The Tick wandered into the lobby with Lockheed on his shoulder. Lockheed was still carrying his EVIL DUCK plaque. It was starting to smell. Tick was thinking about how to get rid of it without Lockheed finding out immediately when he noticed the new guy in the lobby. "Hello there, stranger!" he said.

"Not a problem, sir!" Tick said, taking Hawkeye's hand. "It's good to see that our administrators are so jovial! I am The Tick, Professor of Criminal Justice! And this," Tick said, nodding towards the dragon on his shoulder, "is Lockheed. He's a dragon."

Lockheed nodded and proudly displayed his plaque.

Since he's already late for the party, John takes his time heading out of the dorms. On the first floor, he sees a new face.

Well, hey. Friendly, right?

"Evening!"

Lockheed just nodded again and smiled. This guy seemed like the fun kind of crazy.

"Most of the ducks are okay, sir. A crazed villain recently gathered a duck army in an attempted coup of the town, but we stopped it!" Tick beamed. That was a fun day. "I'm not familiar with the goose or swan populations in town, but I'd imagine they're mostly fair-tempered. Assuming they're not students. I imagine they'd been in a mood."

John shakes his hand. "Hello! I'm a second floor dweller. John Crichton. Nice to meet you. Are you a new professor?"

"No, we rarely get a good supervillain around these parts. This was the first one since... well, since a few months ago," Tick said, slightly maudlin on the last bit. "The ducks get a bit snippy from time to time, but the only chickens I've seen have been Muppets. You'd be surprised how well a felt chicken can fire an automatic weapon," Tick said, nodding seriously.

"Aside from that, we have gremlins. And a few months ago, zombies. But I imagine they briefed you about that stuff, sir."

"Vice Principal?" John nods. "I didn't know we were gonna have one of those. And you don't have a room yet? That kinda sucks."

"Oh." John nods and shifts the gift for Parker a bit. "Well, I'm glad they gave you a room and not a lobby. The lobby's nice but sleeping in it might not be the best for privacy issues. I'm in room 238 with Angel who doesn't have a last name."

"Egads. I suppose that would make the interviews a bit more difficult," Tick pondered.

"But Fandom is generally a pretty quiet place. It gets a little weird at times, but you get used to it for the most part," said the blue-suited man with antennae on his head and a dragon on his shoulder. "It'll feel like home in no time!"

"Oh this?" John shakes his head. "It's Maureen Parker's birthday today. We're having a surprise birthday in town for her and this is my gift to her. I can get you something if you'd like."

"The nearest bar?" Tick asked. "That would either be Spike's Pub, which is a regular bar, or Caritas, which is a karaoke bar and lounge. Both good places. Caritas makes an especially good root beer float," Tick said, nodding.

"I will, sir. I think she's turning like 53 or something today," John jokes. "She's on the second floor too. The second floor is quite...interesting."

"Well, I should be going, chum!" Tick leaned over and tried to whisper so Lockheed couldn't hear. "I'm going to see if I can't get rid of that duck plaque. It's starting to smell."

"Well, have a good evening, sir! I look forward to working with you!"
