Pip kicked the door open to the roof and walked out with his guitar in one hand and a six pack in the other.

Don't ask where the six pack came from. He opened up a can and took a sip. Following that he, in order, pulled out a cigarette, lit it, took a deep drag, and pulled out his guitar.

The idea was to play something fast, bouncy, and LOUD. Get the whole dorm to dance.

[[OOC: Anyone who wants to come up and party with Pip, come on.]]

Lana took the time to clean Room 403 thoroughly before she headed up to the West Attic to start moving her things. She'd picked up some stuff from the Emporium to make the room seem a little more *hers*, so she made the bed and put up the prints she'd picked up after the room was clean. She figured that way, no matter how tired she was after moving everything, at least her bed would already be made so she wouldn't have to worry about it.

She admired the view from her window for a moment, then sighed and started the trek up to the West Attic to collect all of her things. Hopefully, Shep and Han would be along to help out and it was always possible that others might lend a hand to when they saw her moving.

[Anyone who wants to come help Lana shuffle her stuff down to the fourth floor, please feel welcome!]

As a result of a semi-drunken truth or dare game, Han is now carrying a passed-out Shep over his left shoulder, has his right arm around Lana's waist and is singing the Corellian Planetary Anthem in Old High Corellian at the top of his lungs as they head to room 402.

Han was sick of nutribars. He decided to give the kitchenette in the common room a test run. Slartibartfast had done a good job with him last semester and he was a decent cook. Just decent, not spectacular.

Tonight, he had decided to try burritos. Meat, legumes, savory fruit and cheese in a flat-bread wrap. How hard could it be? The ground turkey sizzled away, the package of grated cheese and cans of refried beans and ro-tel mexican fiesta tomatoes stood at hand. The torillas are nearby ready to be filled.

He'd gotten the holo-player hooked to the TV and Quest for the Treasure of Xim was playing. He gave half an ear to the search for the legendary ghost-ship The Queen of Ranroon and the rest of his attention to the cooking

[[ooc: open to anyone who feels like wandering in. There's food and swashbuckling.]]

After her sojourn to the pool, Lana came back up to check on Shep (still sleeping) and decided that while she didn't want to go too far away from him, she also didn't want to sit in the darkened room.

So she left him a note saying she'd be in the common room if he woke up, grabbed her book and headed out.

In her precise printing, she wrote:

Jack Harkness kisses very well. Ask him and he'll show you.

Lee Adama blushes if you flirt with him. Do it every chance you get.

John Crichton is so very taken. And Aeryn Sun is dangerous. Don't even go there.

And beneath that, she wrote:

Hawkeye had settled in well over the past few days. He had his affairs in order (both in the business and physical sense) and was now a full-time resident of Fandom. The boredom was beginning to set in though. He had ideas, but they would have to wait until he found someone to rope into being his lackey. For now, he was content to sit in the first floor lobby with a copy of the Crabapple Cove Courier on his lap and a notepad and pen ready to write a letter to his Dad.

Unfortunately though, he had nothing interesting to say yet.

Lana came back to Shep's room after taking care of a few things. Neither Shep nor Han was there, but Lana found the note that Han had left on the bottom of her own note to Shep. She bit her lip, feeling terribly guilty that Han had been bothered that she'd spent the night - even though nothing but sleeping had gone on.

She gathered all of her stuff together and left it on a neat pile at the end of Shep's bed to bring upstairs later, then grabbed a book and went to read in the common room. She didn't feel like trekking all the way up to the Attics just now, but she wasn't sure she should stay in the room after Han's note.

It seemed like the arrival of the new recruits had everyone up and stirring around pretty early. Shep had been awoken by various noises both in his room and in the halls, but since none of them set off his 'impending danger' alert, he kept rolling over and going back to sleep. When he finally decided that it was time to get moving, he noticed that Han had come and gone, and that Lana had left as well. It occurred to him that it might have been a good idea to drop a note to Han about Lana staying and why... but it was Han, so no matter what he thought about the situation... he was probably right.

After taking a quick shower, Shep put on coffee in the small coffee pot he'd brought back from home and ate a granola bar. He might wander down to the Perk later, but for now that would do.

Once he felt semi-awake, he opened the door and then blocked the exit with a two and a half foot high sheet of hard plastic, held up by sticking it between his footlocker and the wall.

Walking over to the cage on the desk he opened the door, "Okay, guys, do you want to play?" Two sets of front paws obediently presented themselves so they could be taken out and put on the floor to run around. "Hm," Shep muttered, "Maybe I should have told Han about them too..." Oh well, too late now. He had to have noticed them last night. Grabbing the white board marker Shep scribbled out quickly:

Small animals under foot.
Feel free to come in (just step over the barrier),
but watch where you put your feet.

He then set about changing the food bowl, giving them some more water and scooping out the litter box.

Chloe gives a small grunt as she pulls a box out past the door of room 228 and into the hallway. She has to admit, she's excited about moving up to the East Attic with Veronica. She's really starting to like Piper - and the idea of having her own bit of space.

"I think we're going to need larger and stronger people for some of these boxes," she says to Veronica. "I didn't realize we'd made them so heavy."

Marty stumbled into the common room and started a pot of coffee and began the long boring process of making cupcakes for the "Welcoming Commitee" that Smith had drafted him into as punishment for a game of truth or dare that had gone horribly wrong.

He's not sure why he's making the cupcakes. He didn't even look at Jaye when she gave the Jazz Hands lapdance to Archie. Look at that crack in the ceiling! Not that he blamed Jaye. Technically it was all Rory Gilmore's fault for daring her.

Marty sighed and started reading the back of the cake mix to make sure he understood how this baking thing worked.

Lana happily putters about in her room, cleaning and setting out some of her morning purchases. The new Ren-Faire dress is hanging by the closet door and the roses are on the desk by the window. She may be humming under her breath - or even not so under her breath at times.

She's in her room, but has the door to the common room open.
