Sign posted near 238, 2nd floor hallway
Worried about the radio broadcast's implication that he could be punished if he didn't personally meet all of the new students, Angel decided to post the following sign outside of his dorm room door:
MAGIC SHOW TONIGHT!
All are invited! (Especially new students!)
Show starts at 7pm at Caritas!
No, I am not singing. - Angel.
Angel stood back and observed the nice, neatly-writtensome might even call the handwriting girly poster. There, that had to count for something. He thought about doing more but he'd already invited Blair and Lily Evans personally and he'd left voice mails for Logan and Cordy (and if they were more staticy than usual which they were he didn't notice since he was always of the opinion that cellphones were the tool of the devil). Sure he could make more signs, but most folks on the second floor passed by his door, anybody he cared about on the third floor certainly hung out on the second often enough, and you couldn't pay him to go up to the fourth floor even if you put a convent up there also because he didn't know Blair was living on 4.
He did, however, belatedly think of something. He took out his marker and hastily added:
This is not a part of a bid for Student Council! PLEASE do not vote for me!
There. He recapped his marker then went to play with Sean by tossing a tennis ball down the hallway for the puppy to chase.

"No singing? I think I'll have to go into mourning now."

It was possible that a dark, broody, hunky vampire was a tiny bit too excited about a magic show. But that'd be like saying he listened to Manilow for fun.

Sean dutifully fetched the ball, but brought it back to put it by John's feet instead.

"I saw her yesterday," John says. "I went rafting in the pool and she came down there."

on the cool floor, coffee in hand, when she saw Angel's poster. "Magic show, huh?" she asked. "Nice. I'll have to find my Little Sis and drag her along. It's probably good you're not singing. We don't want to scare away the new students." She paused. "Wait, what kind of magic show? Real magic or stage magic?"no subject

At the mention of her Little Sis, Janet grinned wryly. "I hope she is. She got in late last night, so I haven't had a chance to meet her yet. I'll probably roam the dorm today looking for her."

"Uh-this isn't the fourth floor, is it?"

"Two, huh? It's very easy to get lost here. What does 'frell' mean? I live on four. With Broots on a bed that doesn't have speakers on it anymore." Blair looked up at Angel. "Where do you shop for clothes?"
no subject
Angel had a frown of concentration as he tried to follow all that, then hoped he was answering in the right order. "Don't know about literally but figuratively it's like any other four letter word starting with F. You're with Broots? He's okay. Friend of Parker's who's kind of a friend of mine. But be careful up there. Four's got some... less than nice people. As for clothes, you mean me or you? For your style you might wanna try the Emporium. Or there's some NPC stores I could take you to. Just, you know, not in the daylight."
no subject
"I'm not sure about Parker, but Broots has been cool so far." Blair looked overhead, as if he could see up onto the fourth floor. "Less than nice? Like evil? Or just
Parkerrude?"Blair looked down at his clothes, not sure if that was an insult or not. "For me, man. These are the only clothes I have right now. The only thing that made it here with my was my backpack and I packed pens instead of clean undies."

"Oh my god! I must smell horrible to you!" Blair took a couple of quick steps backwards. "Is your nose okay? Do you need to me leave? How do you deal with your senses when it's too much?"
