After waiting in his room for Carter for over an hour Jack decides that he must've been blown off. Either that or that she's working on something and still thinks she has "two more minutes."

Either way Jack has decided to go watch some TV to take his mind off it all.

"Ooh hey, Jon Smith. Huh. That kinda looks like the librarian."

"As you should be. We're a scary bunch. And yet? The teachers are worse."

"That's not terribly surprising." He then thought about Jack's comment in the context of the messages he had received. "Wait. Eww. I think you scarred my mind."

"I didn't even eat breakfast today. That doesn't seem fair," Peter said.

"Oh you don't wanna eat the food here unless your partial to Abba or naked insanity. Try Fandom, the town has mostly edible food."

Peter really didn't want to question the "mostly" part. "Why do you say 'mostly edible'?" he asked despite himself.

"Well, okay. There was this candy once? Did some kooky things to people. It wore off after a while but still... Oh!" He almost forgot. "Beware anything in a bake-sale too."
