After waiting in his room for Carter for over an hour Jack decides that he must've been blown off. Either that or that she's working on something and still thinks she has "two more minutes."

Either way Jack has decided to go watch some TV to take his mind off it all.

"Ooh hey, Jon Smith. Huh. That kinda looks like the librarian."

"Some days you'll have too much entertainment," she advises. "Um. Around here people are in the common rooms a lot, or the gym. And there are a lot of places in town. Stores and the coffee shop and the karaoke bar..."

"The gym? Is it big?" Peter asked, letting his mind wander to using spider-powers for a cardiovascular workout in the gym.

"We have a karaoke bar? This town really is evil."

"You haven't heard some of the singing," Aeryn says with a little mini eyeroll. She shrugs. "The gym's a good size. Plenty of equipment. Kara and Anders trained there, so there's room."

"Good to know," Peter said.

"And you haven't heard bad singing until you've been in the New York subway. Trust me on this."

"They sing on the subway?"

"Some people do, for various reasons," Peter answered. "Some are looking for money. Some are crazy. Some think they're talented..."

"I've been avoiding the subway for a while, though. Maybe they stopped."

"I would hope so," Aeryn says. "If it's really that bad."

"It could be worse. You should hear some of the people who think they can play guitar."

"Where are you from? It sounds stranger than here."

"New York. I'm a big city boy. And it's much, much stranger than you're probably imagining. It's part of the charm."

"I don't know if it can be much stranger than I'm thinking it is," she admits.
