2nd Floor Common Room

Okay, so she decided that she would run.

Which meant election promises and posters.

Vote Elizabeth, Junior Council Rep

I promise to:
*Maintain a good relationship with the faculty
*Ensure a positive and welcoming environment for all students
*Be honest and always listen to what YOU want

Having plastered them all around the dorms, from the gym to the top floor common room (via the shooting range), she settled into the common room with her palm pilot, a notebook and lists. If she was going to run, she was going to do it properly. And hiding away in her room certainly wasn't the way to go about it.

After waking up in Marty's room, Angela roams into the common room to see if anyone is watching cartoons. You know, for a change.

"Hi, Elizabeth. Haven't seen you since before break. How's the campaign?"
chasingangela: (running)

"Pretty good," she says. "I mean, the phone weirdness yesterday was, um, interesting and kind of makes me want to hide forever. But the new people seem cool, and, hey, classes are almost here."

"And I didn't know you spoke -- what was that, Russian?"

Peter walked down to the second floor, hoping for something to distract him from that special kind of mind-numbing boredom that can be found on Saturday mornings. When he spotted Liz and Angela, he waved and said, "Hi," in a friendly tone.

"Hey," Angela says. "Are you one of the new people?"

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-01-07 04:59 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, I got in yesterday. Peter Parker," he said. "And, yes, I know about gremlins, Locker 327, and the toaster." Peter had a feeling that everyone was conditioned to tell new people about those things on sight.

"I'm Peter," he said. "I think I just saw you on a bunch of posters. Elizabeth, right?"

"A couple weeird messages, yeah. Like, I got one from Lee Adama talking about underwear. And a really private one Marty left for me went to half the school somehow -- including his Little Sister, who was pretty upset until we sorted it out. " She grins. "Heck of a way to break in the new students, I guess."

"And Merry Russian Orthodox Christmas to you, too."

"Do you think that's what happened last semester?" Angela wonders aloud. "It seems like a lot of people were here the first week and just disappeared. I hope they aren't all in 327."

She turns to Peter, realizing how this must sound. "Um, we don't lose students anymore, much."

Peter thought about this for a moment, then asked, "I'm just wondering, what do the people with Lockers 326 and 328 do? Are they okay, or is there a certain safe radius around 327?"

"So as long as I make it to next Saturday I should be fine?"

Peter shook her hand. "Those posters were for Student Council, right? Isn't that normally taken care of at the beginning of the year?"

"I know. I just hope the zombies are gone for good," Angela says with a shudder. "I never want to go through that again."

"Everybody I knew who ran last time? Told me they were ready for it to be over well before the election," Angela says. "I just hope this time it's a little easier, but ... somehow I doubt that, knowing this school."

Peter's sarcasm-sense was tingling. "Sounds like a lot of fun. Really." Dropping his own sarcasm, he said, "At least the people who were already in it shouldn't have a problem, right? Assuming they did a good job, of course."

"It was fun," Angela agrees. "Most of you guys did a good job, as far as I could tell."

"But the problem is we're supposed to pick three per class, and everybody on council now is a junior."
