On the roof of the dorms, late Monday

Edward is sitting out on the roof of the dorms, staring off into the night and brooding. He's got a cup of coffee and an older, ratty notebook beside him but he doesn't seem to be very interested in either.

"I'm on 4th floor, room 405, you?" A sudden thought occured to her, and she looked around for cameras or creepy principals or anything. "You think we'll get shut down before we can do it? cause we have to spread the word to get a crowd. And I know the place is bugged and stuff. Adult types will catch on fast." Now she looked thoughtful. "Maybe if we can convince a teacher to sponser it...."

"Third floor, room 303. And yes, Principal Smith caught me and Pippi when we were trying to get into Locker 327. Maybe getting an adult to back us... Hm. What else do you do besides climb walls?"

Thinking about it, though, he's not sure it's fair. "I'm not exactly normal for where I'm from. I don't want to seem like I'm taking unfair advantage."

"What do you mean, not normal? Cause I think 'not normal' is sorta normal around here." Yuffie grinned a bit, then started ticking off skills. "Well..I can make deadly origami. I'm a deadly shot with my shuriken. I know how to escape from ropes, though I probally should have paid more attention to that. And I know ninijitsui. I can totally hold my own in a fight. And..." Here she looked shifty eyed. "I might know how to pick pockets and other stuff like that, but you totally don't know that."

"I'll let you know when I find someone faster than I am, because it hasn't happened yet. I can cut bullets out of the air, but I don't have to do that because I can just dodge them. I hunt vampires and I'm still alive and human to tell the tale. I can jump out of planes without a parachute and can kick a knife off the floor and into a person's throat before most people can flinch."

His grin is 100% cockiness. "So maybe it wouldn't exactly be fair."

"Really? Awesome." Yuffie grinned, then pouted a bit. "Okay, so maybe you *would* win. Though I'm pretty quick. Maybe I can learn a thing or two from you."

After blinking and commenting at Sakura's entrance, he turned back to Yuffie. "And I want her" nodding toward Sakura, "to teach me how to do that. Still, a new friend of mine made a good point about relying on one weapon too much. I'll show you something you want to learn, you show me how to climb that wall without my cheats."

Yuffie grinned. "I think I can do that, I just have ta figure out what I want you to teach me. Though that wire thing? way cool."
