Tuesday Night, Outside the Dorm

"Wait, say that again." Walter finished sliding down the outside of the Tachikoma, Victor still unconscious (more asleep) in his arms. "Who hacked him? He's not bleeding. What do you mean?"

He stood on his toes, peering up into the Tachikoma's cockpit to see Togusa still immobile. "What's wrong with him?"

"Major got mad at Togusa because he wasn't supposed to use me except for Driver's Ed and a trip to town. She shut him down for a while..." The Tachikoma kept the pod open. "I can make us invisable so no one sees us..."

The Tachikoma faded from veiw. "Oh!" came the child like voice. "Maybe I can take his classes for him while he's out! I want to learn too!" Even invisable, the tank left marks as it hopped up and down a few times.

"Whoa, whoa, hold on. Say that again for the guy from the 1940s, alright?" Walter grimaced uncomfortably and shifted Victor in his arms.

"Is Togusa in any immediate danger?" Because if he wasn't, Walter wanted five minutes to get Victor put in his bed before he handled any more of this little mess.

"Oh no, Togusa isn't hurt. He just can't get into the internet like he should. And since he was connected to ME, it rattled him up a bit." The Tachikoma appeared and moved its eye to Walter. "I guess I can't go to the beach anymore, can I?" It said in a dissapointed voice.

"He'll be okay. Your friend looks sick. I can take him to his room too. Place him behind Togusa." Amazingly enough, the tank stopped its bouncing to allow Walter to place Victor in it. "No worries! He'll be okay in a day!"

"That's alright, I can take care of it. I'll be right back."

Walter trotted back downstairs after getting Victor put to bed, still-clothed, and leaving him a rather uncomfortable voicemail message, just so he'd know how he got home.

God, tomorrow was going to be uncomfortable.

But tonight, the problem was Togusa.

"Okay, so Togusa is 'stunned' for a day or so? And you're going to take his classes? How are you going to fit into the classroom? And what about his body for that time?"

"Togusa won't be awake for a while, maybe a day. Major thought he needed to learn a lesson. That means I can learn lessons too! I can just give him the data I collect in class!" The tank hopped again, Togusa flopping to the side.

"Maybe I should go invisable again until we get him to his dorm room! People will think he had too much to drink or something like that."

"Hey, go easy there! There's a human inside you, don't scramble him!" Walter winced at the rag doll way Togusa flopped around. "Let me back in there? I'll keep him from banging against stuff."

"Togusa is tough. He's okay." The Tachikoma stopped long enough to let Walter look him over. "So, I can carry both of you to the dorms, but I have to have my cockpit closed. Is there an open window on the fifth floor?"

"It's January, Tachikoma. Humans - at least smart humans - don't leave their windows open in January. Are you sure we shouldn't take him to the clinic? He has to do things like go to the bathroom, right? I don't think Pip's going to appreciate that happening in his dorm room."

The Tachikoma thought for a second. "But certain parts of him don't belong to him. They belong to Section 9, and they don't want thier parts messed with." It stopped rolling for a moment. "Togusa isn't very sick, just addled. There's nothing wrong with his ghost. I checked." The tank moved one of its arms to show the wire still plugged in from Togusa's neck to the panel. "I guess if it helps Togusa," it said in a low pitiful tone.

"Didn't Section 9 tell the school when he enrolled? Dr. House seemed to keep good files on the students. If he knows that Togusa will definitely wake up, he won't have to do anything that would threaten Section 9's parts."

He glanced up and noticed that despite expectations, someone actually did leave their dorm window open in January. "Or we could take him to his room through there, but I think the doctors will be angry about that.

"Hop in! Hop in!" The Tachikoma hopped in time with its words. "We're made to handle stuff like that...but nobody can see us. And Dr. House...I don't know. He might want to see what's in Togusa's head! I don't want him broken!"

The tank shifted again. "Unplug him and hop in! We take the fast way!"

Walter climbed in and rather dubiously looked over the plug connecting Togusa to his Tachikoma. He winced as he pulled the plug free, but apparently, didn't break anything in Togusa.

"Okay, okay, but this isn't something I wan't to get in trouble for. It's no fun at all. You're sure Togusa's going to be okay without medical care? He's really going to have to piss when he wakes up."
