4th Floor Common Room: Tuesday Evening

Blair's sitting in the middle of the common room floor surrounded by boxes, all postmarked from a Chilean mission, that are spilling packing peanuts and weird looking items. He's got a stack of cereal boxes written in another language, a few odd looking hats and several sweaters.

There were a few stranger items, like woven flip flops, a pair of llama fur boots and even a pair of leather chaps. He wasn't quite sure what to do with those yet. In his lap, was a small box that contained something he really didn't want to have around...but was afraid to let out of his sight.

On the floor next to him were several stacks of socks, scarfs and gloves all sorted into colors and sizes...ready for their new owners.

Ivanova wanders into the common room, having seen one of his posters and drawn by the lure of warm clothes. She grinned at her cookie pusher. "Hey Blair."

"I don't really need anything," she murmured, distracted by the furry boots. "But oooooh, shiny. I mean fuzzy."

Ivanova buried her hand in the boots. Just as soft as they looked. "Where did all this stuff come from?" she asked. "And why are you giving it all away?"

"That's interesting - the living in Chile bit and the guru bit, I meant. Too bad about not getting any of your stuff back." On a whim, Ivanova sat down and pulled off her fluffy slippers so she could try on the irresistably fluffier and furrier boots. "What was it like?"

Ivanova wiggled her toes. A little extra room at the end, but they wouldn't pinch if her feet swelled when she . . . well, if they swelled. And they were very warm. And furry.

"I lived a few places when I was younger," she said. "I was born in Russia, but educated outside of the Consortium, overseas mostly. My father wanted me to appreciate my heritage more by giving me a objective view."

"Oh, I couldn't . . ." She glanced down at her fuzzy feet and back up at him with a guilty little smile. "Are you sure?"

"Thanks!" Ivanova got to her feet, hesitating before throwing her arms around him in a quick hug.

Ivanova stepped back, loving the way her new boots felt. "Here, I should give you something." She dove into her pocket and pulled out a handful of wrapped sweets. "Have some candies! From Wonka's. Experimental flavours."

"I feel it is my duty to spread the word," Ivanova replied with a grin. "I work there. He makes some amazing candy. And Tonks - that's the other girl who works there - she can do amazing things to them with, ah, magic. Cheering Charms or something like that. Other things, too."

She grinned at all his bouncing. He seemed like the last person who needed more sugar. "I'm usually there every day," she said. "I don't have classes Thursday or Friday, so I park myself behind the counter there."

"Great." Ivanova grinned at him. "Well, I should be getting to work on my history homework. Good luck on your mission of bringing wooly warmth to the students of Fandom."
