Burninated second floor common room, Wednesday night

Jaye's got her table again, and her computer chair, wheeled down the stairs from the fourth floor. Because everything's burninated.

Her flags are back. You know you want one.

The donation tin's back, too, by the way. Don't be cheap.


[Stuff's getting delivered tomorrow to make it oh so pretty, I swear. I just can't handle two potentially big posts in one day. *g*]

Xander, getting out of Isabel's way so she could rest in peace, headed for the common room with his laptop, but as seemed usual recently, there wasn't anything going on in the 4th or 3rd foor rooms. He figured on heading straight down to the lobby given the condition he knew 2nd floor as in, but then he saw a light in it, after all. Curious, he left the stairwell and poked his head in. Followed shortly thereafter by the rest of him, when he saw Jaye camped out with company.

When he caught sight of the flags, he snickered. Hard. "I gotta admire your... something," he said, dropping a buck and a twinkie into her donation tin, and twirling a glittery flag between his fingers.

"Thanks," she says, and looks into the tin. "First time I've ever been paid in Twinkies. Or, Twinkie."

"I could offer to pay with the only other commodity I've got easily available," Xander said with a shrug, "But I figure Archie doesn't need another detention, so I'll save him the trouble and me the bruises."

He tilted his head. "Actually I could pay with entertainment, though. Uh, not the kind that would get me bruised."

"I shook booty for Marty for cash earlier," she says with a shrug. "Go for it."

Xander blinked. Opened his mouth. Closed his mouth. Noted his proximity to Archie Kennedy.

Pointed politely to his laptop.

"Actually I just meant I could provide fake TV, since the real one's all burninated. I've got season 2 of Bitterwoman downloaded on this thing."

He set it on the corner of Jaye's table, flipped the screen open, and clicked into his downloads folder.

Something played, all right, loudly and with vivid color.

Xander clicked rapidly. "Uh. NOT Bitterwoman Wrong folder. Bad folder. Go away."

Jaye buries her face in her hands and laughs and laughs.

"Art project," Xander muttered, his face a lovely shade of magenta. "Research. Extra-credit." He clicked on the right folder this time, and the Bitterwoman theme music begain to play. "Clearly lying through my teeth, but I'll give you another Twinkie if you pretend to believe me."

Jaye holds out her hand for the Twinkie. "I have experiments planned," she explains.

"With Twinkies?" he asked, dropping another into her hand. "What's with everybody experimenting on the poor innocent Twinkies - what'd they ever do? Isn't it the season to start microwaving marshmallow Peeps yet?"

"I totally had the idea before class!" Jaye says defensively. "I will stock up on Peeps when Easter comes and blow up some duckies, but the Twinkies are for now!"

He shook his head. "Do I wanna know what indignities you're gonna perpetrate on them?"

"Depends on what kind of day I'm having."

"I live in the land of scary women," Xander said, not unrespectfully. "I guess I should count myself lucky as long as I'm not the one getting perpetrated."
