I'm glad you got the tarot cards from Phoebe. Stick with her or look her up when you need a friend. You can call her my very best friend as she knows me better than anyone else here at this place.

Kiki and Phoebe tell me that you feel somewhat guilty for all of the gifts I have been giving you when you don't know who to thank or give something in return. Believe me when I say that seeing you smile at each small gift is plenty of thanks to me.

However, since I don't want you feeling bad, this next package, I bought two of each, one for me, and one for you, okay? They are exactly identical, that way, I got something for myself, too.

Jessica smiles wide as she finishes reading the note and carefully folds it up. She holds the journal in her other hand close to her heart. "Thank you Kiki. How have you been dear?"

"Quite well, thank you," Kiki answers, smiling. "How about you? Any luck with - um - learning to enjoy your new freedom?"

Jessica smiles, not really sure how to answer that question without sounding too depressing. "Well, I suppose so. You see I haven't heard from my hus-..." Jessica's eyes widen and she quickly pretends to cough a time a two. "...my boyfriend since I've been here. At first I was a little...disapointed. Now...now I am just worried. I hope he is alright."

Jessica looks over her shoulder out the window, hoping that Chester hasn't gotten a brain tumor again...or, if he has, that this one doesn't cause him to commit murder, or think that he is Gunga Din.

Kiki nods. "I can certainly empathize on the frustration of having a boyfriend who never talks to you. Given how he...is," Kiki lumps a lot of expression into that one word, "I'm going to guess that he's all right - because really, wouldn't someone tell you if something had gone wrong? No news is good news, as they say."

Jessica smiles back at Kiki. "You are absolutely right. I really shouldn't worry. ...Thank you" Jessica smiles thankfully. "So how have your classes been??"

"Really fun, actually," Kiki replies. "Professor Chaucer is fantastic and OMGHOT, and Poetry and Western Lit are just fascinating. I'm having a great time in all my classes - I think I must be ill, or something, because I'm pretty sure high school students shouldn't be as enthusiastic as I am over my classwork. How about you?"

"No no, there is nothing wrong with that, not at all. You see I quite enjoy my classes too. There is music...which is about, well, music so of course its lovely...and there is paranormal psychology, which I actually have more experience with than I'd care to admit...and there is art history, which is of course also very lovely. I remember high school being a lot of hard work, but here, here I find I have a lot of free time."

"Really, you're in Paranormal? You must know Lana, right? She interviewed me last week," Kiki says. "Lana's really great - hey, we - the three of us, that is - we should all go out some night. Maybe to that kareoke place?"

"Ohhh I would really like that." Jessica smiles widely and nods.

"Great! I'll ask Lana. Are you free this weekend? Maybe Friday night? Goodness knows, I usually spend my Friday nights doing homework, so I could use a night to go have some fun," Kiki grins.
