4th floor Common Room: Saturday Morning

Lana woke up and was disoriented for a minute, wondering where she was. Not her bed. No Shep, so not his. Um... couch. She lifted her head. Other people sleeping.

The events of the past night came back to her and she couldn't help laughing softly at the exploits of the Pajama Warriors. She stretched then got up quietly and padded down the hallway to her room where she gathered up some fruits and yogurt and granola - and her coffee machine before heading back to the common room.

She got the coffee brewing and started setting out some food.

[Open to anyone, come have some breakfast or at least a cup of coffee!]

Kiki rolled over on her pile of blankets and pillows and opened her eyes.

She had no idea when she'd finally fallen asleep - didn't even remember doing it - but it had been some of the best and most restful sleep she'd had in a long time. She saw that Lana's things were still piled on the couch, and figured her friend was up and about somewhere.

Kiki got up and quickly scooted to the loo, and on the way back, grabbed some bananas and apples from her room to share for breakfast.

"Morning!" Kiki grinned. "Tea would be fantastic. I've got some cereal and milk, here, too," she offered.

"I understand that," Kiki nods, sipping the tea with satisfaction. "Especially after all the sugar we had last night."

"Oh, I think the very nature of silliness means we don't have to take responsibility for it!"

"Yes, but we were on a very important mission," Kiki answers with an amazingly solemn face. "Or touched in the head."

With a grin, Kiki yawns and stretches. "Running around the dorm in our nightclothes at zero-ungodly hour of the morning with crippling giggle fits? That'd tire anyone!"

Kiki giggles, and pulls her blanket up around her shoulders. Deciding there's no way she can respond to the last part of that without turning crimson, she asks, "What's the Talon?"

"I know what you mean," Kiki nods, resting her mug of tea against her chin. "It's like my delivery service - it's tiring, and sometimes has me running five directions all at the same time, but... once, I lost my powers, and I realized how much I missed it, and especially missed flying."

[identity profile] kikidelivers.livejournal.com 2006-01-28 06:48 pm (UTC)(link)
"That's it, exactly. People ask how I fly...I can't explain it, I just do. I've been able to do it for so long - and before that, I flew with my mother for as long as I was alive - that it's second nature. I can't remember a time when I didn't know how to fly - which was why losing my powers was so frightening. I didn't know how to get them back."

Kiki sips her tea. "I've never ridden a horse - I think I'd be scared to!"

"A stable..." Kiki muses. "You know, I don't see why there couldn't be one. There are fields, and there are trails in the woods to exercise the horses... it'd just be a matter of getting some faculty to help orgnise and sponsor it, and then just have the place built."

[AFK for a bit - I'm finally off to go see Narnia!]

For a while, Sakura just laid there and watched Lana and Kiki chat, drifting in and out of a bit more sleep. She couldn't quite remember when she'd actually come back to the little group -- she'd gotten sidetracked on her way to change into a pair of dry pajamas -- but she vaguely remembered it was starting to get light outside when she did. At least it was Saturday, she could sleep all day if she needed to.

She sat up after a bit, stifling a yawn behind a hand and stretching. Even if it had been short-lived, that was the best sleep she'd had in a while. That tends to happen when you sleep like a rock.

Sakura smiled, still a bit groggy. "Morning," she replied.
