VICTORY PARTY! - Second Floor Common Room

The monsters are defeated, and Rory and Parker have been sprung from the clinic.

Both girls made brief stops in their rooms for candy, snack food and drinks, and piled everything on the counter of the common room kitchen.

The TV's on, sound muted, and the stero's blaring "We Are the Champions."

Come celebrate kicking their cold, white asses, people.

"How'd you do, Angel?" Rory asked from the couch. "Hi, Sean. Vladdie's asleep or I'd bring him out to play."

"Not bad," Angel said. He sat with Sean in his lap. Having been alone all day while ZOMGDANGER was happening, the pup was a little clingy. "Got to play with a really cool sword. You?"

Yes, he is being macho jerk enough to not mention the reason why his shoulder's acting sore.

"I threw coffee and oil on them from the roof and I didn't accidentally stab anyone or hit anyone or anything!" Rory said gleefully. "Did you get hurt or anything?"

Now he motioned to the shoulder. "Jabbed with an ice stake. Almost enough to make me hate snow. But not really."

Rory winced. "Did you get it looked at?"

Angel shrugged. "Puncture wound. It'll heal on its own."

Rory gave him a Look. "Angel."

"Yes?"

"Get it checked. You're not going to be able to do that other thing with a bad shoulder."

"Vampire!"

"I know. Get it checked anyway. Because it still hurts, doesn't it?"

"I've got plenty of pig's blood in the room," Angel said. "I'll drink up, I'll rest. It'll be fine. It doesn't hurt worse than the ribs."

Rory sighed, rolling her eyes. "Boys are dumb. Anyway. Speaking of that one thing you're going to do - I don't get to come along, do I?"

"Over my undead body," Angel said without missing a beat.

Rory nodded. "Okay, figured as much. Anakin's not letting me come either, so I give up. What can I do from here?"

"Support staff," Angel said, seriously. "We might have people getting hurt and injured. We need people who can be ready to handle that. Especially now that the stores have been used up thanks to the monsters."

"Okay," Rory said, biting her lip. "I don't have any medical training, but I'm not that squeamish, so...I can get stuff ready, and do grunt work. What else?"

"Don't know yet," Angel admitted. "But when I do, I'll tell you. And thanks."

"'Course," Rory nodded. "I mean, personal interest in the subject aside, I need something to do while you're all out or I'm going to have a nervous breakdown."

Angel nodded. "I get that. Angela will help too. We talked this morning."

"Oh, she's not allowed either? Parker said she might be," Rory said.

Angel shook his head. "We need fighters. She's staying home."

"And that's why I don't get to come either. Okay." She nodded. "When is this actually happening?"

"Not sure," Angel admitted. "It was going to be today but obviously that was out of the window. We'll have to regroup."

"Okay. Do me a favor and keep me in the loop? Please?"
