VICTORY PARTY! - Second Floor Common Room

The monsters are defeated, and Rory and Parker have been sprung from the clinic.

Both girls made brief stops in their rooms for candy, snack food and drinks, and piled everything on the counter of the common room kitchen.

The TV's on, sound muted, and the stero's blaring "We Are the Champions."

Come celebrate kicking their cold, white asses, people.

Sean, always happy for more lap space, wriggled over until he was half on Angel, half on Callisto.

"Better," Angel said. "Less smell. Plus I can fight outside during the day."

Did we mention Angel took a nice warm shower before going to the common room? Because he did. Good thing too because that might be his hand on the back of the couch, brushing against Callisto's neck.

Callisto scratched behind Sean's ears, smiling as he thumped his tail against the couch.

"Well, there was that, and less cleanup," Callisto said. "And no zombie stew or yearbook food this time around."

Callisto might have leaned back into Angel's hand, because fighting snow monsters all afternoon, was tiring and conducive to sore muscles.

"True, true." Angel said. "Also I wasn't my evil self only helping people because I was under the influence of a spell."

Angel might've started giving her a proper neck massage.

"And, hey, Marty's probably not going to try and sell dvds of you acting like a dork tomorrow."

Callisto might have closed her eyes and lolled her head back, since neck massages will do that to a girl.

There might have been a ~~broody~~ dark shadow that crossed Angel's face when she said that, but it passed quickly.

"Logan's house got destroyed."

"What?" Cordy asked, having catched that bit of the conversation.

Callisto cracked an eyelid open at that. "It did? Is he okay?"

"Yeah," Angel said, replying to Callisto and Cordy both. "Snow tentacle thing knocked it down. Fortunately everybody got out okay. But far as I can tell the building's demolished."

"Holy crap," Cordy said, standing up to go talk to Logan.

"Bummer," Callisto said. "So what are he and the others going to do about lodgings tonight?"

"I told him he could crash at my room if he needed," Angel said. "We've got a spare couch. Although..." Angel looked at Callisto thoughtfully. A smile touched his lips.

"Although what?" Callisto asked, she had no idea of where Angel's thoughts might be head. None, whatsoever.

"It occurs to me," Angel said, his fingertips tracing patterns on the back of Callisto's neck, "that if a guy had a friend who needed a bed, and a guy had a way to free up his own bed for the night. Say, by him and his puppy spending the night in somebody else's room? Somebody who's really good at using a sword, for instance? That could be a happy thing."

"I think that not only could it be happy, it would also be a very noble and self-sacrificing thing to do, heroic even," Callisto agreed, as she leant against Angel. "You know any guys like that?"

Angel leaned back, glad that Callisto was on the side that hadn't been stabbed by ice.

He might've nuzzled her hair. "I may know a guy like that. Know anybody with a little space in their room for such a guy? Doesn't have to be much. Could even share a bed if he has to."

Callisto might have snuggled in closer to Angel. "Yeah, I know somebody, your guy doesn't mind sharing with a girl?"

"Depends on the girl." There might be nibbling of earlobes here.

Callisto might have started drawing patterns on the back of Angel's hand. "Well, the girl I'm thinking of is blonde, very good with a sword, likes hockey. Think your guy would be interested?"

"Hmm." Those lips, if they had been near her ear, might've started moving to kiss just behind it. "Maybe. What about fire? She into that?"

Callisto might have tilted her head to give those lips a better angle. "Oh, she's very big on fire."

"Sounds like my kinda woman." There might be nibbling again.

"Well, problem solved then. I'm sure my girl will be happy for your guy to come up whenever he's ready."

"Maybe my guy just needs to tell his friend that there's a bed available for the night," Angel said. He might've moved forward to rub their noses together. "Then my guy could be free for whatever your girl has in mind."

"He should to that then," Callisto might have kissed the tip of his nose. "Because she can get a bit impatient sometimes."

"Wouldn't want to make her unhappy," Angel said. He might've pressed a quick kiss to her mouth. Then he whistled to get Logan's attention (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhighdorms/434353.html?thread=18832305#t18832305).
