VICTORY PARTY! - Second Floor Common Room

The monsters are defeated, and Rory and Parker have been sprung from the clinic.

Both girls made brief stops in their rooms for candy, snack food and drinks, and piled everything on the counter of the common room kitchen.

The TV's on, sound muted, and the stero's blaring "We Are the Champions."

Come celebrate kicking their cold, white asses, people.

Molly sighed. "Hopefully. I didn't see either of them when I woke up in the medical part of the gym." She sighed again.

"So, what happened at Logan's house?" She asked curiously.

Angel grinned. "Logan and I tag teamed to melt the tentacle thing."

Molly grinned also. "Cool."

She looked down at the floor again briefly before looking back at him apologetically. "I'm sorry I got knocked out like that."

Angel shook his head. "You were a big help until you did. I nearly got knocked out by that thing myself. Nothing to be ashamed of."

Molly was a little bit mollified snicker by Angel's words. She gave him a little grin. "Thanks.

"I just hate when that happens. You'd think, by now, I'd learn to duck the big flaily arms," she demonstrated briefly, "but no. Big monster or robot in front of me, I go in and get tossed around like a doll and fall asleep until everything is over." She sighed again. "I'm much better against people sized bad guys."

Molly shrugged. "None really. I mostly just let the bad guys underestimate me and then hit them or throw the bigger monsters around. I've signed up for the Fight Club thing that Bridge started so that I can maybe learn something."

"Wanna work with me?" Angel asked. "I can take a hit better than most if you mess up, and I've worked with Buffy so I've got some familiarity with the area."

Molly's face brightened considerably. "Really? Yeah, sure!"

She grinned mischievously. "You might change your mind later though. I pack a wicked punch and Darla went pretty far when I threw her down that alley."

Molly giggled. "No, I meant it's a deal. You teach me stuff, I won't hit you in the face." She grinned at him.

"So where do you get the strength from anyway?" Angel said, changing the topic only slightly to scoot it away from his problems speaking with, whaddyacallit, anybody.

"I'm a mutant." She shrugged. "Don't know why I have super strength or why my eyes glow pink, except that my parents' did too, or why I get so tired after I use my powers. I just do."

"Oh," Angel said. If he was thinking of other mutants he knew or had known, he kept those thoughts well hidden beneath the surface. "Well, maybe you'll find out as you use 'em?"

"I don't know if there is a 'why'. A lot of the mutants where I'm from become super heroes - or super villains. I'd like to do that when I grow up. Be a super hero, that is. But I don't know if that is why I have my powers." Molly shrugged. "It's just what I want to do with them."
