VICTORY PARTY! - Second Floor Common Room

The monsters are defeated, and Rory and Parker have been sprung from the clinic.

Both girls made brief stops in their rooms for candy, snack food and drinks, and piled everything on the counter of the common room kitchen.

The TV's on, sound muted, and the stero's blaring "We Are the Champions."

Come celebrate kicking their cold, white asses, people.

"No. Unless, I don't know, you just happen to see him...." Parker looked away. "I'm never speaking to him again. He said he didn't know what the ransoms were, but I know he thought they were funny. Bastard."

"It'll be okay, Parker. I mean, you didn' get t'do violence, but you got Esme back, right, an' that's the most important thing. Right?" Zero kicked serious ass when her parents got kidnapped, but that's not the point here.

"Yeah." She grimaced. "He fixed my foot."

"Stupid Snow monster grabbed it, sprained my ankle, and pulled me off my feet. I hit my head on the ground falling." Parker leaned her head against her hand, looking tired. "And of course, the person who treats me at the clinic downstairs would be him."

"Oh. Squall." Zero didn't know what else to say. "Can I get you anything? Waffles? Cocoa? Bunny?"

She blinked and said, "Bunny? Please?" Parker rolled her eyes. "You don't even need a key."

"Can do." Zero leaves then, returning a few minutes later with a wiggling armful of brown fur. "Okay, Esme, here's your mommy."

"Hey, sweetie." Parker kept the bunny from kicking her by grabbing a pillow and putting it on her lap, then holding Esme in place while she cuddled her. After a minute or so of pretzels, she settled down to munching happily.

"So I guess we'll have the fun of being snowed in tomorrow too," Parker said, stroking Esme's fur. "You up for some mindless entertainment then?"

"Watching TV, drinking cocoa, something that requires no effort. Or *stress*." Parker tilted her head back on the couch, and let Esme try to chew on one of the cushions, just at the corner. "That sound good?"

"Sounds swerval." Zero suddenly remembers something from one of Rat's e-mails. "Er. This TV doesn't get ART, does it?"
