VICTORY PARTY! - Second Floor Common Room

The monsters are defeated, and Rory and Parker have been sprung from the clinic.

Both girls made brief stops in their rooms for candy, snack food and drinks, and piled everything on the counter of the common room kitchen.

The TV's on, sound muted, and the stero's blaring "We Are the Champions."

Come celebrate kicking their cold, white asses, people.

"That's what I hear," Angela says. "Not sure what good we can do, other than wait for them to come home, but I guess it's better than distracting them by needing to be rescued, or worse."

"Are you okay about not going? I kind of am, I think. Mostly."

"I'm..." Rory frowned. "No, I'm not okay with not going, but I understand why not. I just need something to do while we're stuck here, you know? Or I'm going to have a nervous breakdown."

Angela nods. "Angel told me we could help with supplies, and he promised to tell me who was going and when they left. Because I couldn't deal with just having to sit here either. Not when there's a chance people will die or worse."

"I wish we had superpowers, or something useful."

"Yeah, I made Angel promise the same," Rory nodded. "He said supplies and basic medical stuff, since people will most likely be coming back with scrapes at least."

She winced. "I think we're going to have a meeting or something. Angel said 'regroup.' So maybe our roles in this'll be a little clearer." She shook her head. "And I wish we could know what's happening while they're out there, you know? It's unreasonable to ask one of them to keep their cell phone on the whole time, but I half want to see if they would."

Angela blanches. "I don't think I want to hear some of the stuff that might happen. But maybe not knowing is worse? Like, if they don't come back."

"I guess we can talk about it at the meeting," she sighs.

"I don't think I could bear not knowing," Rory said softly. "Like, I don't know if that makes sense to you, or not, but if they just never came back? I'd go insane trying to figure it out." She shuddered. "They will, though. They'll be fine. They're all more than competent."
