Afternoon: Out in front of the dorms. Yeah, in the snow.

After her chat with Walter that morning. Pippi decided that a "victory dance", was exactly what she needed.

So she was out in what remained of the snow that nearly killed everybody. Making snow angels, and snow forts, and generally having a ball.

Walter ran outside and kicked at a piece of snow that looked like the remnants of a snowman's head.

"Hey! Pippi! We won!"

Pippi makes a snowball and spikes it on another mound that may or may not have been a snowman.

"Wooo!"

Walter lights a cigarette and finds it cathartic to make a point of scattering any snowman bits he comes across.

Somehow, a snowball fight just doesn't quite seem appropriate, though.

"We should build an ice castle..."

"Because nothing says 'I win' like a citadel made from the flayed corpses of your enemies!"

"That's pure poetry!" Walter looked around at the chunks of ice that had been melted snowmen. "I can cut blocks if you want to start stacking."

Walter could easily cut fairly uniform blocks out of the various piles of ice left by snowmen that had been melted by the school's defenders. After a short time, he had to work one handed because his left wrist protested being used quite strenuously, but he kept going until it seemed they had enough building materials.

By the time Walter had what he thought was "enough" and he turned around, Pippi had already half-way constructed a fairly sizeable keep. Complete with crenelations, a small tower, and arrow slits.

Which is why he ran inside and returned moments later with his camera to take a picture before joining her in stacking blocks.

After they finished building their ice castle and literally as well as figuratively dancing on the corpses of their enemies, Walter saw Pippi off to her next adventure and went back inside to warm up.
