Second Floor Common Room

Kara lounges in the second floor common room flipping through the channels. There is a big bowl of chips and several chilled root beers on the table. The usual busy common room had been pretty quiet this week. She wonders if people were still recuperating from the weekend or if it was something else.

She might think more of it, but AKA is starting and Kara is quickly distracted.

Lee comes in, sinks down on the couch without a word and smells slightly of nailpolish remover.

Kara's nose cringes and she glances over at Lee. "Do I wanna know?"

"Never going back to the library. Ever," he says, pulling her over to squish him sit on him and he presses his face against her back. "Apparently I need to get in touch with my masculine side."

"Right. I give it a week," she says, leaning forward to grab a bottle off the table. "Here, have a root beer."

He mumbled something about how root beer isn't very manly and impressive but he took it with a more coherent thanks.

Kara pats his leg and says, "I think you're very manly and impressive." She tries not to laugh.

Parker comes in on "manly and impressive", and she'd roll her eyes, but it's too funny. "Hey." She grabs a root beer, then catches sight of what's on TV. "Ooo, AKA. Cool."

She flops down next to Lee.

"Parker," mutters Kara.

She does roll her eyes.

Rory came in and flopped on the couch beside Parker, not looking at Lee.

And not giggling.

"Welcome back." Parker gave her an evil smile. "Glad Caprica could spare you, Thrace."

Parker poked her in the side. "You're in a good mood."

From outside, there was the sound of some enthusiastic, if slightly offkey, singing. He really did better with a band, but Lorne and Agatha seemed to think this was the way to go.

No, she didn't recognize the voice. Why would she... oh, hell.

"Me neither." Which is, of course, absolutely true on his part, and he even believes it's true on Parker's as well. "Oh my gods, is that guy trying to tell someone something?"
