Sam knocked on the door, ready to help set up for that evening. After all, they needed somewhere to store the extra party snacks, right?

She looked at her To Do list:

Weapons Drop Off/Pick Up
First Aid/Medical Area
Comms
--Laptops
--Cell Phones
--Ear Pieces

Time to get to work.

Alanna glanced at her watch and winced. "Can I leave my cat and the stuff I brought with you if I give you a nice explanation of what everything is for?"

"Sure. Let me grab a pad, just in case." She glanced at Faithful. "Is it okay to pet you, or do you not like that? All you sentient animals have different preferences and I don't want to offend anybody."

Sam couldn't believe that sentence had just come out of her mouth.

Faithful glared up at Sam. "Have you ever met a cat who didn't like to be petted?"

Alanna snickered. "Don't worry, he's like a normal cat, only snobby and talkative. Okay, let's see." She began taking out a small assortment of jars out of her bag. "Burns. Scratches. Bruises. Hangovers."

Sam ran her left hand gently, but firmly, down Faithful's back, making sure to scratch his ears, as she took notes. "So, really, only the talkative part is new..."

"Burns, Scratches, Bruises, got it." She wrote. "We can save the hangover stuff for later I think."

Faithful happily purred. "I am not...whatever it is she said."

Alanna rolled her eyes. "Yeah, somehow I figure we'll need it. Um, the other stuff is not very strong, but it should have some effect."

Sam kept scratching, moving on to under his chin.

"Every little bit helps, right? There's stake holsters over there," she pointed, "if you're looking for a more convenient way to carry one and need your hands free."

Alanna peered at the holsters. "I'll just use my back pocket." Alanna patted Faithful. "Don't do anything stupid." "You either."

Alanna waved at Sam and Faithful and headed out. Faithful sighed and shook his head.

Sam scratched his ears. Hopefully Faithful liked it, because it helped to soothe her.
