Sam knocked on the door, ready to help set up for that evening. After all, they needed somewhere to store the extra party snacks, right?

She looked at her To Do list:

Weapons Drop Off/Pick Up
First Aid/Medical Area
Comms
--Laptops
--Cell Phones
--Ear Pieces

Time to get to work.

Anakin knocked at the door after 7th period, holding the bag of modified cell phones.

"I've got party favors," he said. "Anyone interested?"

John opens the door, stepping aside.

"Party favors are always welcome in here. Come in and spread the cheer."

"Excellent," Rory said, following after John and taking the phones in a fairly creepily bussinesslike manner.

Anakin gave John and Rory a small smile and walked into the room.

He let out a low whistle. "Looks good," he said. "Oh--there's a disk in that bag, Rory, that'll connect the laptops to the cell phones' system."

"Yay," Rory said, unsmiling as she found the disc in question and put it into her laptop.

She tilted her head at the screen. "Okay, I think I can read this." She zoomed out on the slightly staticky feed, biting her lip. "Yep. Says they're all together and very close, which...yes."

She moved the bag around a little, watching the screen. "It's a tiny bit slow, but that's the be expected. I think we're good to go."

Anakin came up behind her and crouched down to see the laptop screen. "Looks good," he said quietly, giving her shoulder a quick squeeze before standing back up.

"Uh huh," Rory said, swallowing and typing on her laptop a bit.

"Have a phone," she said, concentrating a bit too hard on the screen and pulling her cell phone from her pocket and handing it to Anakin.

"Thank you," Anakin said, taking the phone and putting it into one of the pouches on his belt.

He gave her a long look but decided not to push it.

"Need a hand with anything?" he asked.

Rory shook her head mutely.

"You should eat something," she said quietly.

Anakin nodded. "I'll do that. Need anything? Coffee?" He gave her a small smile. "Licorice?"

Rory finally looked up from her computer and gave Anakin the faintest traces of a smile. "I'm fine. You worry about you right now, okay?"

Anakin nodded again. "It'll be fine," he whispered, then stood up to grab food.

Because he's done this before so he wasn't nervous.

And he's never turned down the opportunity to eat in his life.
