Outside Room 238, After Fourth Period

Sam knocked on the door, ready to help set up for that evening. After all, they needed somewhere to store the extra party snacks, right?

She looked at her To Do list:

Weapons Drop Off/Pick Up
First Aid/Medical Area
Comms
--Laptops
--Cell Phones
--Ear Pieces

Time to get to work.

There was a quick flash of horror at the idea of doctoring the blood with anything. Then Angel smirked. appreciating the humor at a time like that.

"Thanks, John."

"No problem," he says. "I think you're good while you heal if you wanna get up and check on everyone else."

"She can't breathe," Angel said, softly. He had a haunted look, like this problem of all problems was making him feel lost and useless.

"Who can't breathe?" John looks around. "Callisto's here, Angel. Vice Principal Pierce is here to help her."

"She's having problems," Angel said. "I can hear it."

John tries to hear something, anything.

"Who, Angel? Who?"

"Callisto," Angel said. "Her lung's collapsing. She's having problems breathing. I can hear it all the way over - "

Suddenly, like a switch being flipped, Angel's worry turned to anger and determination. He stood up, looking for all the world like he was about to pick up a weapon and go back out again.

"Hey buddy," John says, getting in front of him. "We can go shopping tomorrow. Get you your own special toy. For now...how bout we go see Callisto?"

As soon as John stopped his momentum, Angel felt his wound again. The room got a tiny bit spinny. Angel had to reach out to grasp John's shoulder to keep from stumbling.

John catches Angel under his arm and gently lowers him back to the bed.

"No more upright movements for you tonight," John lectures. "Sit. Now."

"Damn it," Angel muttered. He closed his eyes until the dizziness started to pass. Then he gamely resumed drinking the pig's blood.

"Good roommate," John says brightly. "Callisto should stay here tonight. I know you'll go where she is but you shouldn't move too much."

"Wherever they take her, I'm going," Angel said.

"Fine," John sighs. "I guess I'll have to give you a piggyback ride because you're not walking."

"I can collapse when I get there."

"What, you don't want a piggyback ride from me? I'm strong, I can carry you!"

Spotting that Callisto was done being worked on, Angel went over to see her (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhighdorms/444169.html?thread=19698953#t19698953).
