Gun Range: 2/3

Marty unlocked the door to the gun range and got his gear out of the weapons locker.

Pulling out his sniper rifle, Marty began to disassemble the scope from the rifle as he waited for Parker to show up.

Parker came in with a large luggage bag, and nodded to Marty as she came in. "I got them."

Marty nodded as he checked his scope to make sure it was working properly. "Let's take a look."

Parker unzipped the bag to reveal an air rifle (http://www.blowgunsnw.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=BNI&Product_Code=178B&Category_Code=tranq) and an air pistol (http://www.blowgunsnw.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=BNI&Product_Code=190B&Category_Code=tranq). "The rifle has a range of 40 yards, the pistol, fifty feet. Eight shots at a time for each."

Marty nodded and picked up each weapon test the balance in his hand and then started to fit the scope onto the rifle.

"What kind of dosage are we using?"

"Enough to drop a small elephant." Parker handed him one of the darts. "It's at least twice what Janet used on Darla when she injected her last week. And that was heavy enough. We've included at least twenty darts, though-- God knows what kind of shot you'll get at him. Better to be on the safe side."

"I won't miss," Marty said matter-of-factly as he loaded the rifle and headed to the range.

He put the target up at the end of the range, adjusted the gun sights and fired off a couple of rounds.

After adjusting for the different kind of pull that the gun made, he fired off a couple more rounds until he was satisfied with how it would work.

"This is good. As long as I have a clear line of fire, one shot should be all I need."

"Well, I can't get you that. But you've got the pistol for back up. And the sodium thiopenthal should drop him. I can't guarantee how fast, though. But it should do the job, hell, he's half-human, he can't be immune to it."

Marty nodded and went through the process of loading and firing the pistol a couple of times.

Satisfied he started packing the equipment up.

"These we'll definitely work," Marty said with a nod before going to the locker and pulling out his 9mm.

"Just in case," Marty said as he packed it up all the equipment.

"Do you need anything else?" Parker crossed her arms. "And are you sure you can do this alone?"

"I've got everything I need," Marty said with a nod. "And yes I can do this alone. Hence the term 'Lone Gunman'. That would be me."
