Chips, dip and soda are set out. There's a piece of paper listing the Secret Siblings pairings posted to the wall. Logan's lounged on the couch, looking like he might doze off at any moment.

Walter, who had spent the entire morning pissed off about people nearly getting themselves killed out of ignorance, did not relent for the confused look.

"The organization I serve exists to hunt and destroy vampires. It's what I do when I'm not bringing tea to some pompous windbag or duct taping golf carts to the walls. Amateurs have no business hunting vampires. Your friends are lucky they aren't dead or worse."

"These 'amateurs' include a 250-year-old vampire and a girl who's lead an army," Logan said coldly. "It wasn't luck that we all survived, it was skill. If you're going to call us amateurs because we don't have a membership card to your little club, that's your call. But if I'm going to pick people to help me in a vampire fight, I'd take any of them over an egotistical little brat like you."

"I'll remember that at your funeral," Walter answered equally coldly. "Because the next time your amateurs decide that study time should include tutoring from hostile undead, I'll be leaving flowers at someone's grave."

Violence was becoming higher and higher on Walter's list of priorities. Before Logan helped him with his prioritization, he spun on a heel and stalked out.

His muttered swearwords were probably covered by the other conversation. Probably.
