Third Floor Common Room - Morning

Macbeth wanders into the common room with an armload of painting supplies and gets to work systematically laying them all out on one of the tables. On his head, he is once again sporting his jauntily crooked maroon beret, which now sports a set of painted-on glittery-pink stripes. His tartan-flannel-shirt that he normally wears around his waist is not there today. He's got a point to make, after all.
He ponders his cause for a moment, then looks up dramatically, and quite to his astonishment, he bursts into song which may or may not sound suspiciously like Scotland the Brave.

"I've played my part in tyranny,
So now I'm causing anarchy...
But this time it is not a bid for the crown!
Your clothes may seem quite monochrome
With colours determined by home,
So take a seat and join me,
And we can paint the town!"

At about this point, to his astonishment, he bursts into a rather impressive highland jig to go with the music and he continues.

"Fabric paints are on the shelves!
Come and adorn yourselves
With colour,
And bring out,
Individuality!
If a fixed tartan gets you down,
Come and usurp the crown,
Of the tyrant, the tartan, the drab and the plain!"

And when his dance is finished, he stands there for a moment trying to sort out what just happened, then shrugs and sits down, taking off his beret and starting to paint some more pink lines onto it.
