The Gym, Late Sunday Afternoon
Bel decided to take out some agressions on an innocent punching bag, giving it the faces of any of half a dozen people. Crowley was an obvious target. Marty, too, for what he had done Friday night. He still hadn't heard from Darla or Dru so he had little idea what condition they were in after Team Angel had finished with them.
But at the very top of the list today whoever had cast that stupid spell that made everyone sing their true feelings. Not only was it embarrassing enough, he'd scared Phoebe by letting her see what the demon in him felt -- if he couldn't have her, no one would. Now he'd never get her back. If he even wanted to take her back at this point.

"Oh, um... hi?" Memories of yesterday swept over her and she blushed and wondered if it might not be wiser to just flee.

She stopped. "I'm babbling. Sorry. I guess, I wanted to say I've always thought of you as a really nice guy
in fact I told my boyfriend that if he and I weren't dating I'd totally be into you, but yesterday was... you were... pretty scary."no subject

She hesitated, not sure if she should say anything to him or not, then took a chance. "I think something strange is going on. I think someone or something is messing with the two of you. You two have always seemed to just... fit and now... I don't know." She paused again. "I have to be there for Phoebe - she really needs someone who's not going to judge her- but... if there's anything I can do to help..."

She sighs, "Which probably just means I'm really naive, but... I don't know. Maybe I like trying to see the good in people."

He shook his head. "I don't care if she's not with me," he lied. "Just so she's not with him. He's going to corrupt her, and she knows it, but she won't try to get away from him."

She glances down at her watch and sighs, "Somehow I don't feel like working out now. I'm going to head back up to my room. You know where to find me if there's anything I can do."

She touches him gently on the arm again and leaves the gym quietly.
