There was a pause as Veronica considered that. "I guess it's to just go with it and don't try to figure most of it out. It'll just make your brain hurt."

She smiled. "It also helps if you have friends who are just as baffled as you."

Nadia let out a long breath. "I think currently, the problem is my friend is now even more baffled than I am."

Nadia gave a tired smile. "Thanks. I might have to take you up on that. I think I managed to murder a friendship this weekend."

"Trust me when I say that's a lot harder to do than you might think," Veronica said sympathetically, thinking of the whole debacle with her and Piper. "But I'm in the east attic and you're welcome to stop by or call me anytime, okay?"
