"I think I have seen you in the library." He grinned with a hint of deviltry and asked, "What is your favorite kind of trouble to get in around here? Everyone seems to have their specialty."
"Hmm." Rory thought for a moment, coming up with and rejecting several replies before answering, "Exploring. I've been all the way through Special Collections, I've gone on a giant squid hunt, and I've been through three hypercubed rooms here. There's an amazing amount of stuff if you know where to look."
"Brilliant!" Walter looked quite enthusiastic. "I tried that with locker 327 and ended up getting covered in cherry blossoms and a detention spent staring at it from across the hallway. Your way sounds much more fun. But what is a hypercubed room?"
"I don't actually know why they're called that - it's a sciencey thing I don't get," Rory said. "But there are rooms up on the sixth floor that do weird things. One of them takes you out to a cloud - like, an actual cloud. I called a friend and he could kind of see us. And then another has no gravity, and another is huge." She grinned. "We haven't explored the others.
"That sounds like so much fun!" He almost bounced enthusiastically but didn't want to owe Blair bouncing fees. "You go with friends? Who else, if that is not a secret."
"Brilliant! Thank you." He beamed at her. "I look forward to it. But on that note, I must go do some homework or my employer will look at my grades and wonder why he's paying for me to come here."
