One advantage of not having any classes until Tactics of War on Mondays was that Callisto had most of the day free, conversely, even with sleeping in late and snuggling with the boyfriend, if you had nothing to do it got boring real quick.

Good thing the Strifenova Celestial first season dvds she'd ordered had just arrived. Callisto considered going to the third floor common room, but let's face it, the bigger television in the second floor common room was just too tempting.

She slid the first disc into the player then settled down to watch Commander Ahab try to keep the fleet safe from the Toaston forces.

"But Professor Lyman likes you," Rory said, looking vaguely horrified. "And you are good at it."

Angel waved that off. "It's all people and, you know, getting them. I don't do that."

"Yeah, but you do it better than I do," Rory pointed out. "And you're good at getting stuff done."

"Haven't turned in homework since," Angel paused, thinking about it. "Two assignments now?"

"The homework's hard," Rory said sympathetically.

"See, this is what I'm saying," Angel slumped down on the couch. "And it's not like I'm ever going to try to get somebody elected anyway. How the hell's Campaigning going to help me fight the forces of darkness?"

"It's a tactical class. Same reason why we're required to take however many credits of math in high school. Critical thinking, et cetera."

"I could sleep," Angel said. "Get up, go to ACJ, go back to bed for hours."

"Or! You could drink lots of coffee. And go to bed earlier tonight," Rory suggested.

"But that ruins the beauty of my nap plan," Angel protested.

"But! It sucks less," Rory said helpfully.

"Naps never suck," Angel said. "That's why this is a beautiful plan."

"You know what else doesn't suck? Not skipping Campaigning class."

"No, skipping class would be great," Angel said. "First off, because there would be no Campaigning, so already it's wonderful."

"If you come to Campaigning tomorrow, I'll do something amusing in class to make it worth it," Rory promised.

"I bet whatever you'd do would be even funnier if you did it in first period," Angel said.

"I'm the TA," Rory said, shaking her head. "I'm an authority figure in there."

"It'll be an ironic contrast that will be fun for all," Angel said.

Rory shook her head again. "There are too many people in there, anyway. If I'm doing something amusing and very likely humiliating, I want it to be in Campaigning."

"There could be. Nothing that's going to get me in trouble with Cal, thanks."

"Ah, good point," Angel said. "Problems with the girlfriend. You're right. I should skip class."

"No!" Rory said, flailing. "There could be announcements or singing or something. Not that my singing is an incentive to be in the area, but it'd be funny."

"You could sing now," Angel pointed out. He held up a donut. "There could even be a treat in it for you."
