2nd Floor Common Room, Monday Afternoon

One advantage of not having any classes until Tactics of War on Mondays was that Callisto had most of the day free, conversely, even with sleeping in late and snuggling with the boyfriend, if you had nothing to do it got boring real quick.

Good thing the Strifenova Celestial first season dvds she'd ordered had just arrived. Callisto considered going to the third floor common room, but let's face it, the bigger television in the second floor common room was just too tempting.

She slid the first disc into the player then settled down to watch Commander Ahab try to keep the fleet safe from the Toaston forces.

"Hey, Zero," Callisto waved. "How you been?"

"Bad," Zero said honestly. "Oh, season one. Darn, no freaky Toaston baby."

"Any particular reason?" Callisto asked. "Nope, although considering how pretty its parents are that's gonna be one cute Toaston when it grows up."

"People are idiots with death wishes. I'm kinda hopin' the baby takes after Hydro, myself. Not that Boomstick's exactly hard on the eyes, either."

"Deathwishes? Really?" Callisto was suddenly glad her top covered her bandages. "Hrydo is a very, very pretty man. I can see why the Toastons wanted his DNA."

"Yes. Death wishes. I can understand Angel running off after vampires, but really, what made everyone else think they knew what was what?" Zero studied the screen for a moment. "Boomstick's baby should be tall. And pretty. And a good pilot...remind me again why people are thinking it'll be a bad thing?"

"Well, I imagine some of the people involved did have previous battle experience, and if they really had death wishes none of them would have come back alive," Callisto pointed out. "Half Toaston, remember? They probably think it'll go mental and destroy the ship the first time it's spanked or something."

Zero snorted. "Whatever. Poor Toaston kid. If Balto doesn't steal it or someone succeed in getting it killed, what are they gonna do, stick it in the cage with Mama Boomstick?"
