4th Floor Common Room, Monopoly Game Night

Late Saturday afternoon, Isabel started preparing the fourth floor common room for Game Night. By the time the evening rolled around, the room was ready for fun. A table against the wall was loaded with an assortment of baked goods from Jeff, God of Biscuits and an assortment of chips and various dips. There was a cooler next to the table filled with bottles of water, fruit juice and cans of soda.

Four tables were arranged with Monopoly game boards and space for eight players at a table.

With everything ready she sat down to wait.

[OOC: Obviously we're not going to be rolling the dice for every turn. The game does need to end at some point tonight (preferebly before 5:30 in the morning). Hopefully there's enough links that you'll be able to fake it well enough to have fun. Game piece icons are available for the truly obsessed here at each of the tables. Please note that [livejournal.com profile] peter__parker has a special doggie icon he can use at whatever table he wants. Have fun!]

[ooc2: Please wait for the OCD threads are up.]

Peter rolled a ten and passed over the $100 to Mac for landing on B&O. "I'm never taking the train again," Peter said.

Mac rolled a three and got a comfy ride on one of her railroads.

Molly shook the dice again. "Okay, dice. I've got one last chance for doubles. Come on, doubles!" She rolled a four and a three. "Awwww," she pouted, but paid the $50 to get out of jail and moved seven spaces. "Community Chest. Let's see... 'Pay school tax of $150'. Aw, man!" She paid that as well then kicked the thimble off the table with the shoe.

John might've noticed that some of his property had mysteriously moved to the pirate's side of the board.

These things happen.

Barbossa rolled a 40. Brow furrowed, he counted it out. "Back t'Go!" he said.

Sam rolled a ten, promptly landed on yet another railroad, and handed $100 to Mac. "What the heck is it with me and trains?"

"You and me both, Sam," Peter said. The good news is that he didn't roll a ten. He instead rolled a five. "Back to jail. The dog shouldn't have gone into that convenience store. It could only end in tears." He "tsk"ed the little doggie.

Molly rolled an eight which put her on... a railroad owned by Mac. Molly just sighed and handed over the $100.

Sam rolled next and landed on Marvin Gardens. "I'll take..." she stopped in the midst of counting out her money. "I can't buy it, I don't have enough. But I..."

She looked over at Barbossa, who was sorting money into neat piles. "Wait...is that my money? You...you pirate!"

Laughing, Sam chased him out of the room, knocking over the game board as she ran.

Peter looked at the board. "I knew it would end with the board getting tossed! I called it!"

Molly laughed. "You win then." She'd been holding onto the shoe when the board went flying. She slipped it into her pocket absent-mindedly.

"Since I was losing so badly in the game itself, I'll gladly claim this victory." Peter kept his doggie, too. Hey, everyone else was doing it...

"So. Overall, I think this went well," Peter said, smiling. "Go StuCo. We rule."

"Go you!" Molly cheered.

"This was really fun. Are there going to be more game nights?"

"The plan was for it to be a monthly thing. This one seemed to turn out pretty well, so I figure we'll probably have another one next month," Peter said. "I hope. I'd really like to get some of the people here playing Risk, to be honest."

"Cool! I've never played Risk, but learning could be fun."

"I'm sure it will be. It's a game of world domination and strategy. Some people here will be great at it." Peter yawned. "Okay, up way too late last night in Rory's room. I should probably get some sleep. I'll see you later, Molly."

Sam waved to Syd. "There you are! I was wondering. And I think it's a toss up between Mac and Barbossa."

John tossed his cash into the pot, seeing as how his properties are gone.
"I am, now."
He turns towards the door, arm crooked. "Shall we?"

"I'll be in my room doing homework all day," Sam said. "Feel free to interrupt. Please."
