4th Floor Common Room, Monopoly Game Night

Late Saturday afternoon, Isabel started preparing the fourth floor common room for Game Night. By the time the evening rolled around, the room was ready for fun. A table against the wall was loaded with an assortment of baked goods from Jeff, God of Biscuits and an assortment of chips and various dips. There was a cooler next to the table filled with bottles of water, fruit juice and cans of soda.

Four tables were arranged with Monopoly game boards and space for eight players at a table.

With everything ready she sat down to wait.

[OOC: Obviously we're not going to be rolling the dice for every turn. The game does need to end at some point tonight (preferebly before 5:30 in the morning). Hopefully there's enough links that you'll be able to fake it well enough to have fun. Game piece icons are available for the truly obsessed here at each of the tables. Please note that [livejournal.com profile] peter__parker has a special doggie icon he can use at whatever table he wants. Have fun!]

[ooc2: Please wait for the OCD threads are up.]

Nadia looked at Blair and smiled. "Right. Time to initiate plan B." She reached out, possibly as though about to accept the card from Janet . . . and flipped the whole board over, spilling all the game pieces, cards, and dice onto the floor.

"Jail break!"

Blair bounced up and cheered happily. "Alright Nadia!"

Nadia grinned back and gave a little bow.

Pip stared at the flipped board. "Well if we were going to do that we should have just taken it out back and blown it up," Pip said jokingly. "Still, it was fun while it lasted."

Nadia shook her head. "I don't understand the attraction of this game. Now, if we were playing for real money . . . I still wouldn't understand the attraction of this game."

"Maybe we can give the money to that smelly guy at the general store," Pip said. "He'd probably take it.

Nadia smiled. "He probably would. We'll have to try it."

"Ahh! No fair!" Parker protested, grabbing for her pieces, then pouting. "I was *winning*."

She hadn't been, and she was relieved to have it over with. When she was fairly sure no one was looking, she winked at Nadia, then went on to protest, "Do over, do over!"

Janet just started laughing and threw her game pieces into the box.

Jack just started laughing, and kept it up through the ensuing wrangling. "Viva la resistance! Power to the prisoners! Oh, lighten up, Parker." He snorted and pulled her back down when she got to her feet. "Run, Nadia! Run! Escaaaaape!"

Nadia had started laughing, and was unfortunately too busy doing so to take Jack's advice.

Parker started throwing the fake money and the bank cards at her, then reached for the little pieces. Luckily Jack pulled her back down at that point. "Santos!!"

She could've gotten away if she'd really tried.

Nadia started backing away, still giggling. It was a good thing she knew from Parker's wink that she wasn't really mad . . . she'd seen what Parker would do first hand, and even participated in it.

"Truce!" she called. "Truce! Give peace a chance!"

"All we are saaaaying..." Jack sang melodramatically, albeit it very well. "Is give peace a chaaaaance--"

"Jack," Parker growled, but started to chuckle. She shook her head, and mock-glared at Nadia, then let herself get tugged into Jack's lap.

Jack waved to Nadia from behind Parker's back. "All we are saaaaying-- is give me a dance... run!" he whispered loudly, wrapping his arms around Parker.

Well. The going doesn't get any better than that. "See you tomorrow, Blair, right?" She grins at Blair, then makes a beeline for the stairs.

The game hadn't been much fun, but the people were. She was pretty sure she might even get to sleep now.

Of course, then she remembered detention and groaned slightly.

Eventually she'd sleep, anyway.

Parker stuggled, and pouted, and eventually curled up against Jack. "Good one," she whispered to him.

"Yeah, I thought you'd like that," he muttered back. "Pay me back?"

She grinned, and gave him the usual fee.
