Second Floor Common Room (starting in the late afternoon and continuing into evening)

Rory had streamers and glitter and a newly-made, orange-and-white banner that read "HAPPY BIRTHDAY CALLY."

But Rory is not that tall. So she was having a bit of trouble hanging up the banner and streamers.

Well. She was having trouble inasmuch as she was being more flaily than usual.

"Wait... so who was the lucky girl who got to kiss Bridge?" Cally then realizes she's never asked Bridge whether or not he's actually into girls. "Or... did he seem more interested in the boykissing?"

"Parker," Rory answered, blanching a little. "And he didn't seem all that inclined to either. He was just kind of 'Yay, kissing!' about it all."

"You, erm... okay?" Cally's really starting to notice the reaction now. "You don't look so good, all of a sudden."

"Huh? No, I'm totally great," Rory said quickly, the color returning to her face in a rush. "Do you like the streamers? They were put up with the Force."

Yeah, nice segue, Rory.

"The force of what?" Cally asks.

"Have you ever seen Anakin float stuff?" Rory asked. "Because he uses something called the Force to do it. I don't get it, really. But it sounds cool."

"Ohhh, yeah. I think he did that one time to take me home," Cally says. "So... you and Anakin, you're, like, dating now, right?"

"What?" Rory's eyes went wide. "No! No, we're just friends. Why does everyone think we're going out?"

"Just rumours, I guess." Cally shrugs. "You know, if you're not, like, involved or anything..." Cally trails off, getting lost in her thoughts as she scratches her chin.

"What?" Rory asked, raising a brow and suddenly feeling very wary.

"Well, I was just thinking, and you can totally smack me for being nosy, but... I think Bridge could use a date for Valentino's Day, or whatever it's called." Cally gives a tentative smile. "Maybe?"

Rory had a sudden choking fit.

"Um," she said, getting herself under control. "You know what? I'll...ask him. That might be fun."

"Yay," Cally says, smiling widely. "You'd totally be cute together. Possibly cuter than me and Anders."

"Yeah...this is true," Rory said hesitantly. She spotted Bridge across the room, and gave Cally a quick hug. "Happy birthday, again."
