Second Floor Common Room (starting in the late afternoon and continuing into evening)

Rory had streamers and glitter and a newly-made, orange-and-white banner that read "HAPPY BIRTHDAY CALLY."

But Rory is not that tall. So she was having a bit of trouble hanging up the banner and streamers.

Well. She was having trouble inasmuch as she was being more flaily than usual.

"Something unbelievably stupid," Marty said with a pained expression. "I was out on a date with Quinn and I saw Angela holding hands with Logan and I just snapped."

Marty groaned and flopped down on a couch. "I didn't expect to see her there and... well you probably have a good idea what happened from there."

"Okay, first of all, Angela's not dating Logan. He's seeing Veronica. And she kind of loathes him, anyway," Rory started, perching on the arm of the couch. "And secondly, did you call her a slut? Because she said you did, and she was kind of upset about it."

"What? No! I did not *call* her a-" Marty waved his hand a little. "I didn't call her *that*! I-"

Marty huffed in frustration.

"Okay, I knew about Logan and Veronia but my memory has been a little fuzzy lately and seeing her and Logan holding hands? Well logic just kind of flew out the window," he said while he poked at one of the sofa cushions.

"Then Logan and I started snapping at each other and that led to me telling Angela that it was her fault we broke up because of her kissing Jordan Cantaloupe and, well me rubbing it in her face. But I never called her that. She isn't even close to that and-"

Marty shook his head. "Never mind, I was just a big idiot and should have known better."

Rory listened quietly, and sighed. "Okay, she thinks you did call her that. And I think you guys need to talk. Since you clearly miss her and all."

"Well I didn't," Marty says with a sigh. "Quinn might have said somthing, but it wasn't me. And judging from the message she left me? I don't think she really wants to talk to me about last night,"

"Yeah, she does," Rory retorted. "And ignore the message. Since it - you know, I'll let Ange tell you about that. But yeah. The message is irrelevant."

Marty doesn't look so sure.

"She kissed Duo and Jaye last night and called me a jerk. How is the message not irrelevant?" he asked softly.
