Rory was lying on a couch, Vladdie on her stomach.

The former was channel surfing and eating candy.

The latter was rolling around on his back, batting at what appeared to be a whole lot of nothing in the air.

Marty returns the nose kiss. "Never ever."

"Nope," Angela sang. She kissed his jawline a few times, as if to seal the deal. "Best early Valentine's Day ever."

"Hmmm... That reminds me. There's this whole dance thing on Friday, we could go unless you already have a date," Marty says a silly tone.

"I can cancel with Hans," Angela joked. "Seriously, you want to do the dance thing?"

"Sure. If I'm not throwing a kink into your plans. You know... getting a dress. Hair done. I know that stuff takes planning," Marty said while playing with Angela's hair.

Angela paused a second, distracted by the hair-playing. "I think I can wear something I own?" she said. "I mean, is this, like, a prom-type thing, or is it lower-key?"

"Not sure," Marty says thoughtfully. "I didn't think I was going until today."

"Yeah, me neither," Angela agreed. "I'll ask people at Jack Harkness's birthday thing tomorrow."

"Were you going to go to that?"

"I was thinking about it. I think I might have an assignment due for poetry class, but if I get that done I'll definitely swing by. That's okay right? Do you want me to go? Because I'll blow off the assignment if you want me to go? I don't want to abandon you and you have to go alone. So if you want me to be there, I'll go."

"It's not that important," Angela reassured him. "I mean, it's not like Jack is our best friend, or anything. I mostly just want to see what Ms. Cregg is going to do, and I can walk over with Parker. Though I'll miss you if you aren't there."

"Has Geoff mentioned anything to your class about his plans?"

"I'll try and make it. It sounds like it should be fun," Marty promises. "And I haven't talked much with Geoff outside of class. Why? What's he up to?"

"He thinks he's leaving town at Spring Break," Angela said. "It sounds like a lot of his friends are gone, and he just doesn't feel right here." She shrugged. "It's probably the right choice for him, I just wish I had gotten to know him better. You know?"

"He's leaving?" Marty said with a frown. "He hasn't mentioned it at all. I feel horrible. First Phale and now Geoff? I should've spent more time with both of them. I'm a pretty sucky friend."

"It sounded like he was still working things out," Angela said. "He's not even sure where he would go. Maybe he'll end up staying."

"He said we should have coffee or dinner sometime. Want to do that? He was very emphatic that it wasn't a date, which is good, 'cause the last student he dated went evil."

"Yeah, I remember that pretty well. Evil students? Never fun. I'd love to spend some time with Geoff. Maybe one of the new people coming into town will convince him to stay."

"Maybe," Angela shrugged. "I guess we'll know at Spring break. It can't hurt to be his friend for now, anyhow."

She snuggles back into his shoulder. "So ... I missed you. Did I say that?"

"You did. You want to try say... un-missing me somewhere else more private?"

"Inspired idea," Angela replied, eyes trailing hungrily over him. "And I think Min wants some quality time with you, anyhow. Back up to my room?"

His nod might have been a tiny bit eager, and they walked quickly to the staircase.
