Rory was lying on a couch, Vladdie on her stomach.

The former was channel surfing and eating candy.

The latter was rolling around on his back, batting at what appeared to be a whole lot of nothing in the air.

"No, but I'm pretty sure you were about to," Peter said for he is not a poutmodder. "Preemptive strike."

"I would never pout to get my way," Rory blatantly lied.

"Hey, we both know that cute girls pouting is an effective weapon against all males. Please don't pretend otherwise," Peter admonished.

"Too bad boys don't have a secret weapon like that. Well. Except boykissing," Rory said sadly.

"That doesn't count. Girls have girlkissing. They cancel each other out," Peter said.

"Boykissing is better," Rory said solemnly.

"I'd have to disagree on that point," Peter said. "For example, Xander kissing me? Not that interesting. Angela and Parker kissing Jaye? Everyone could appreciate that."

"And sadly, I am going to have to argue that Angel and Alex the other night was very pretty. And Hamlet and Archie. And really, all the boykissing. So pretty," Rory disagreed.

"Hey, even you and Molly kissing was kind of hot and that was about as innocent as you can get. Well, innocent if you don't count the fact that Anakin's head was in your lap," Peter joked.

"It wasn't dirty! Not my fault he passed out there!" Rory said. Quite possibly too defensively, actually.

"Rory? I was joking. Although you could have moved his head if you didn't want it there. You seemed to do just fine with that in the morning when you ran out for food," Peter pointed out.

"I was being nice. Because he was all passed out and stuff. It would be mean to move his head," Rory said feebly.

"But it was okay to do so in the morning?" Peter asked curiously.

"We needed food. Priorities," Rory said firmly.

"Sure," Peter said glaring down at his last piece of candy. The wrapper was very shiny.

Rory glanced at him. "Gah. If you stop making insinuations, I might tell you a secret at some point that would probably not surprise you."

"Deal," Peter said. "Any idea when this mysterious 'some point' might be?"

Peter neglected to mention that he was merely joking around with the Bridge and Anakin things until she started to get a little too defensive about them. He also neglected to pose another jokey theory that Rory and Becky were the same person. He was a man of his word.

"Um. Soon?" Rory said, shrugging. "I have no idea. But not now."

"I'm holding you to that," Peter said. "After all, it would be nice to have a super-secret conversation with someone where they tell me their secrets."

"Okay, I should probably be heading off. I didn't even mean to stay anyway."

"Sorry for keeping you. Take more candy," Rory offered.

"Hey, if keeping me means candy and conversation, I'm more than happy to be delayed," Peter said with a grin and a handfull of candy. "Have a good night, Rory."

"You too, Peter!" Rory called. Vladdie tore his attention away from his invisible friend to bark a farewell. Or possibly just to bark. He kind of liked making noise.
