Second Floor Common Room - Lateish Evening

After putting in an appearance at Jack's party, Rory retrieved Vladdie from her room and changed into the cozy, cozy jammies Jake had given her for Christmas.

She hopped out into the common room, set Vladdie down on the floor, and took up the remote while keeping the puppy carefully in her sights.

"Pretty good. I'm trying to figure out what's up with Vladdie's imaginary friend," Rory said, watching the dogs.

Vladdie loved tennis balls. They were good for fetching. He bounced happily and hovered a few inches.

Sean put the tennis ball on the ground. He barked, indicating Vladdie could play with it.

Angel looked worried. "Oh god. Gremlins can go invisible now?"

Vladdie nosed the tenis ball, and firmly picked it up with his mouth, jetting up to the ceiling and dropping it for Sean to fetch.

Rory's eyes went wide. "Oh god. I didn't think of that. It hasn't hurt him yet, whatever it is."

Sean scampered after the ball. He caught it and brought it back to Vladdie.

"That's a positive, at least," Angel said. "So what's new with you?"

Vladdie flew down gleefully, and looked from the ball to the air beside him, and back at the ball again.

Apparently the invisible thing was going to throw the ball.

"Absolutely nothing. What are you and Cal up to tomorrow?" Rory asked.

Sean thumped his tail on the ground, waiting for the show.

"I got her a thing." Angel grinned. "I hope she likes it."

Vladdie also eagerly waited. The ball didn't move. Vladdie looked no less enraptured.

"A thing?" Rory asked, raising an eyebrow. "Like, a shiny thing?"

Sean took a half step forward as though the ball had moved. It hadn't. Yet.

"Possibly," Angel said, coyly.

Vladdie stared very hard at the ball. It moved a few inches. Vladdie bounced happily.

"A...sparkly thing?" Rory persisted.

Sean yipped. He bent down to snuffle the area where the ball had been.

"Dunno if it's sparkly," Angel admitted.
