Second Floor Common Room - Lateish Evening

After putting in an appearance at Jack's party, Rory retrieved Vladdie from her room and changed into the cozy, cozy jammies Jake had given her for Christmas.

She hopped out into the common room, set Vladdie down on the floor, and took up the remote while keeping the puppy carefully in her sights.

"Everything okay?"

She nods again in response. "Better now," she admits.

"Good." He smiles brightly. "I love you."

"I love you, too," she says, and actually doesn't have a problem saying that across the common room.

"Do you know what you're getting turned into tomorrow?" she smiles.

"Nope," John says, laughing. "But, I figure after the radio broadcast I did, I'll be changed as soon as I walk in the door."

"Shedding Gray Hair All Over the Controls?" she remembers. "I'll be checking my E-mail during that period so I can see Rory's pictures as they're sent."

"That's one of the many nicknames, yep." John laughs. "I imagine the animal will be small and furry. But, I do have a plan for tomorrow..."

She winces a tiny bit at that. "Trying to talk you out of it won't do any good, will it?"

"Nope," he says and shakes his head. "Gotta be done. She thinks I have a mental disease. If she thinks I'm insane, I really gotta act insane!"
