Trying to ignore everyone coupling off all over the damn school, Sam turned on the Aaron Echolls film festival and prepared to lose herself in the movies. She had a large bowl of popcorn and bottle of diet coke and settled into one of the chairs.

Of course, she was immensely interruptable.

"The crazy hooker? The one you told me about?" she asked. "And someone is singing to her?"

"Yeah. It's insane," Peter said. "But it'll make for good pictures for Journalism."

"Of his murder most likely. Make sure you get copies because I'm sure the police are going to want some," she said.

"It's a magic camera anyway. Only Skeeter can develop it apparently, so my project will be safe," Peter said.

Isabel laughed, "I'm sure. After listening to what she's been doing to John, she'd probably turn the police or whatever they are in town into toy soldiers or something. Has she turned anyone in your class into an animal yet?"

"Not yet, but I think Anakin might be getting close to becoming an animal," Peter said. "Nobody else has challenged her directly in my class."

"That's probably wise. She sounds scary," she said.

"You just have to know how to play her," Peter said. "I'm on her good side at the moment. I'm trying not to ruin that until it's necessary. Or really funny."

"If there's a day you get turned into a small, furry animal? Can you make sure someone takes pictures? I'd love them," she laughed.

"Nope. No pictures. There are people back home who would kill for those pics," Peter said. "Not gonna happen."

"That's a shame. I'm sure they'd be cute. But considering what you have said is back home. You're probably right," she agreed.

"Yeah, my ex-girlfriend is fierce when it comes to cute animals," Peter said seriously.

Isabel raised an eyebrow, "In a good way I hope."

"I'm glad we weren't together during the height of the Beanie Baby craze," Peter said.
