Fifth Floor Common Room, Tuesday evening-night

Pip sat on the couch and flipped through the movies he rented. Against the holiday, most of them weren't romances. Mostly it was standart blockbuster fair. The Grid, Ghoulbuster, The King of the Anklets.

He glanced at his watch and leaned back, waiting for Maia.

Maia came into the commonroom carying an armload of take out. She wasn't sure what Pip would want so she picked out half the menu. They were really busy so she had to order early for it to be there in time. "Hey there." She walked over and sat the food down. "Happy Valentines Day." She smiled at him. "Thank you for the flowers."

Pip smiled back and scratched the back of her head. "Happy Valentine's Day to you. Glad you liked them." He leaned over and picked up a box at random. "Pick a movie, ooh, pork fried rice."

Maia smiled at him happy to have gotten something he liked. Putting the movie in she leaned back a little against him to watch it. Eating very slowly and just enjoying spending time with him.

Pip rested his head on hers and continued eating. "Did I tell you about what happened down in the basement?"

Maia shook her head. "No you didn't. Was it fun or scary?" She asked taking a sip of her coke.

"Kind of scary. Buncha scary monsters and one really big scary monster. Me, Jack, and some teacher named "The Doctor" had to kill the big one. And more and more I start to wonder when my life became a sci-fi movie."

Maia sat up a little "Pip..." She said setting down her lo mein noodles and looking at him. "You could have... you might have been killed..." Her eyes full of worry, obviously he hadn't been but the thought prayed onto her mind and she didn't like it.

"Well, Nadia and Pippi were down there. I couldn't have left them down there on their own. And if that monster had gotten out, God only knows what would've happened." He smiled. "I came to peace with the idea that I may die in combat one day, but I have no intention of doing so anytime soon. Not while people are coutning on me. Even if it's just for people counting on me to show up to have dinner and watch movies with them."

Maia smiled at that, she laid her hand on his knee. "I think what you did was really wonderful then, to have protected everyone like that." She leaned forward and picked up and egg roll "Its good you know I am counting on you because I want you around for more then just dinner and movies. There's also, swimming down at the beach when it warms up and making love to look forward to as well."

Pip grabbed an egg roll of his own. "Oh, good. I'll be sure to put those up at the top of reasons to live. Now, does it really get warm around here eventually or are you just messing with the European?"

Maia smiled and leaned against him, her eyes heavy. "It gets warm enough to swim* She said with a yawn closing her eyes slowly.
