Also, he doesn't have a date. And he's not the kind of person to snark on other people.

So he's here in the Common Room, flipping aimlessly through the channels and desperately hoping something good will come on.

Bertram chirps happily and, as soon as Molly starts counting, he scooters away and takes up residence...under the couch but close enough to Molly but not touching.

Hey, he's not that inventive of a DRD.

Molly counted to twenty and then spent a few minutes looking everywhere in the room except under the couch.

She finally sat down on the floor and leaned back against the couch. "Man, that Bertram is a good hider. I need a rest before I start looking again."

John grins from his seat. Bertram, tired of being hidden, pokes Molly once in the back with an eye stalk.

"Eep!" She said as she was poked. She turned around and laid down on the floor to look under the couch. "There you are, Bertram. You picked a good hiding spot!" She sat up as Bertram scooted out from under the couch.

"I think you should hide again since I didn't find you. But, this time I'm only counting to ten so you'll have to find your hiding spot quick." She leaned on the couch and started counting slowly.

Bertram, being a bit undecisive, skitters over to John and nudges his ankle. John picks up his foot, Bertram scoots under it and stops. John brings his foot down gently on top of the DRD.

"...Ten!" Molly finished counting and almost burst out laughing when she saw where Bertram had chosen to hide.

Trying to stifle her giggling, she crawled on the floor around the couch until she was behind John. She looked under the couch. "Not there," she said.

She got up onto her knees and made John lean forward. "Not there either."

She crawled around to the front again and looked under the couch cushions as she went. "Still no Bertram."

She got back to where John was sitting. "Hmm, where could he be?"

She picked up John's foot. "Ha ha! Found you!"

Bertram chirps happily and waves his eye stalks at her.

"I think that's DRD for your good at this game," John says. "I think he likes you more than and definitely more than Aeryn because..." He trails off there and shakes his head. "If you ever want to borrow Bertram, let me know. He's good for a lot of things."
