Rory sat on the couch with Vladdie, watching the Eternal Champion DVDs that had just arrived. Thank God for Netflix.

She returned about ten minutes later carrying something colorful in her hands. She walked over to Blair. "Hi, Blair." She wasn't grinning, but she didn't look upset or angry. If anything, she looked nervous.

"I need to apologize to you Molly. I've hurt you and although it wasn't my intention, that was the outcome. I'm truly sorry, Molly."

She looked directly at Blair after he apologized. "I know you're sorry, Blair. I pretty much knew that yesterday. I was just... I felt stupid for not knowing that you thought it was a date. And a lot of stuff happened this week and it was too much." She gave him an apologetic shrug.
"But," she continued decisively, "I've decided it wasn't a date because I wasn't ready for it to be a date. I just though we were being friends. And if it wasn't a date and we were just being friends, then there is nothing for me to be hurt about," she said with a smile.

"I just want to explain about all of that. I like you a lot and I was excited to get a chance to know you better and spend more time with you. I messed things up here in a big way, and if it's okay with you, I'd like the chance to try again sometime when you feel up to it." Blair stared at his shoes and mumbled. "I'd even ask you properly and bring flowers."
