Rory sat on the couch with Vladdie, watching the Eternal Champion DVDs that had just arrived. Thank God for Netflix.

She paused, and rewound a few times as she watched the Valentine's Day episode. Something seemed awfully familiar about that fiancé....

"You only watched? How come you didn't try out?"

"Because two characters in it would make my brain break. Because the pageant was enough. I did push for jazz hands to be included, though," Jaye nods.

"Jazz hands make everything better," Veronica says with a solemn nod.

"I jazz handsed at snow monsters," Jaye says.

"Not really, but apparently I taught them something from our culture."

"Well, that's something to be proud of."

"Except then it got deadinated," she shrugs. "Not proud for long."

Veronica tilts her head. "Wasn't it kind of the point to deadinate them?"

"But this one was dancing for me," says Jaye. "Riverdancing, actually."

"Oh," Veronica blinks. "Well, um, then I'm sorry?"

She shrugs. "I'm over it. Snow monster death will not make me emo. There's a limit to the insanity around here."

"I have to pretend there is or my brain will seep out of my ears and that doesn't sound like fun."
