"Ohhhh." Anders nodded. "I get it, yeah. Well, y'know, supposedly we're related anyway. The people from here and from where we're from, I mean. Theory goes that Earth, or the Thirteenth Colony like we call it, is where the last refugee ship from the planet Kobol ended up, instead of in the star system where the rest of us did. 'course that was thousands of years before my time. We thought it was just a myth or something, but well, we're here, and a lot of stuff is the same here as it is there, or pretty damn close at least."

As an afterthought, he added, "Except for the spaceships. And the paper with the corners."

Molly listened to his explanation. "Wow. That's cool." She thought for a moment about his last statement. "Okay, I know you have spaceships and we don't, but... paper with the corners?"

Anders sighed. "This part always ends up having to get explained. I should really just learn to not mention it." He pulled an old receipt from a sporting goods store back in Delphi out of his wallet to show Molly, pointing out the way the corners were lopped off to form a rough octagon. "That's what I mean. For some reason all our books, and papers, and photographs, and stuff have the corners like this. I never did figure out why, but then I never thought to ask. 'cause it was normal, you know? It didn't seem weird until I got here."

Molly laughed. "I can see how that would be weird."

"I still cut the corners off my class handouts and stuff," he told her conspiratorially, "just 'cause it looks wrong to me otherwise."

He fished a couple of gumballs out of his pocket and juggled them for a few seconds before offering one to Molly. "What's been new with you?"

Molly giggled about the corners as she accepted the gumball. "Thank you."

She popped into her mouth and stuck it in her cheek before answering. "Well, I'm sad that Aeryn's gone. I'm worried about Cam because of Vala. And I had a misunderstanding with Blair, but at least that got sorted out. Other than that, I've just been avoiding most of my homework like I always do," she said with a grin.

"Whoa," said Anders. "Okay, you've definitely had a worse week than me. I don't think I made things much better for Mitchell, either," he added, chewing his gum a bit forcefully. "Not that I did it on purpose, but he didn't take me and Cally talkin' to each other while we were in different bodies too well."

"Was that in the cafeteria on Friday?" she asked. "I saw Cam with you and... well I guess it was you and Cally, but I was kind of distracted then."

"Yep, that was us," said Anders, with the overly-dramatic sigh of the oh-so-put-upon. "I think he thought we were just messing with him."

"Well, I know Fandom is weird, but how often do people switch bodies? The only reason I really believed Bridge when I saw him in the common room that night was because he called me Hat-Girl."

"Well, didn't that happen with Angel and Bel that one time?" asked Anders, scratching his head. "Seriously, I know it was weird, but it's not as weird as I would've thought it was six months ago, you know?"

He sighed. "Poor Bridge. Waking up the past two days was probably way more traumatic for him than it was for us."

Molly cocked her head and thought for a moment. "Oh, right. That was the night Cally did the radio. I forgot about that. I hadn't met Angel yet and I still don't know who Bel is." She shrugged. "The snow monsters were new, but so far, this school is not on the top of my list of the weirdest things I've ever experienced."

She frowned in memory of how mopey Bridge had been on Friday. "Poor Bridge."

"Lucky you," Anders told her, shaking his head. "It was a complete mindfrak for about three months for me that I was actually living somewhere I never used to believe even existed!"

He sighed, and frowned with her. "Yeah, poor guy. He's never that down, I swear."
